Hey Anglers, We’ve just rolled out a major bug-fix patch. This update includes a wide range of fixes and improvements across gameplay systems, Fishing Together sessions, boats and water behavior, UI, missions, and visuals with a strong focus on polishing the Norway map, improving performance, and boosting overall game stability. We’ve also made balance adjustments to some of the largest fish in Skårland Fjord: Unique Atlantic Halibut, Unique Greenland Shark, Unique European Sea Sturgeon, and Unique Porbeagle Shark. After analyzing landing-time statistics, we’ve made these giants slightly easier and faster to reel in, and increased their XP rewards so the challenge feels more satisfying and rewarding. Below is a detailed overview of what’s been addressed. User Interface & Controls[olist] Corrected level and rank text placement in the “Send a gift” window. Storage icon now consistently appears when receiving gifts. The “Space” key prompt correctly switches to the connected game pad button on the start screen. Removed cases where an unexpected Accept button appeared (or was missing) in the Received Marker Buoy window. The new mission indicator no longer appears when all missions are already reviewed. Weather forecast icons now update only when the actual weather changes. Resolved issues where sunglasses remained visible in the HUD after being removed. Fixed input blocking after removing glasses from the character. Resolved issues where players could not remove glasses from the Inventory tab. Prevented controls from locking after closing the Money Pack window. Camera rotation around a fish in the catch window now works correctly on controllers. Corrected character animation where walking appeared as seated driving in third-person view. Addressed freezes when opening the tablet in stormy waters after a weather change. Ensured the template window is always displayed when received. Updated text in the Repair Kit Critical Condition window for better clarity. Inventory Sorting Inventory sorting state now is saved after traveling from the Globe to a waterway. Category names are now shown even when a category contains no items. Secondary sorting parameters now respect the direction of the primary sorting parameter. Corrected special sorting behavior for Chum Capacity and Max Line Weight Boats, Water & Navigation Improved boat movement transitions from pins to driver points on Valkyrie boat. Prevented the Valkyrie from drifting after reopening the game or using time forward. Boat speed is now correctly limited when moving backward in Stormy Waters. Reduced excessive shaking when an anchored yacht collided with cruise liners at the Maldives. Regattas at the Maldives will no longer collide with player yachts. Improved sea water visuals when driving the Valkyrie in rough waters. Navigation buoys now better match wave motion in stormy conditions. Eliminated long delays when switching to stormy water after time forward. Fixed cases where snow and rain passed through the roof and windows of Ingrid boat. Smoothed coastline geometry near waterfalls to prevent boats from getting stuck. Adjusted the color of water in the start scene. Ice now reacts correctly when hit by Maldives and Japan boats. Prevented extending rent on moving boats when there are insufficient Credits. Fixed freezes caused by attempting to teleport via tablet while actions were active. Fixed cases where fish finder and radar did not display fish correctly. Fishing Together Sessions (FT) Corrected liner position desynchronization between captain and guests after time forward. Fixed incorrect pin highlighting on the local map after finishing FT from a secondary pin. Restored the Go Fishing Together button on the local map when FT is active. HUD and cast rods now properly reset for guests after host teleportation on a Navigation Buoy. Rod holders on the Valkyrie boat now animate correctly for guests from the host’s view. Prevented boats from continuing to move for FT participants after captain teleportation. Resolved freezing when a guest caught a fish and the host cancelled FT mid-action. Synchronized cloud types for all FT participants. Fixed cases where FT sessions froze during loading. Corrected Xbox controller selection issues when choosing the first FT guest. Fixed an exploit when trolling bonus was added to XP in FT sessions even with anchor down Fishing, Gear & Equipment Resolved multiple auto-reeling issues with electric rods and reels. Fixed electric reel spool not rotating after returning from the local map. Electric mode indicator now stays correctly positioned when hiding the HUD. Added clear e-indication in template previews for electric rods and reels. Fluorescent lines and leaders now glow only at night and not during daytime. Adjusted Halibut saltwater softbait size for more realistic visuals. Corrected torch positioning for small fish in third-person view. Fixed rod visual issues caused by rapid removal from rod stands. Resolved cases where fish appeared detached from the character’s hands in Photo Mode. Corrected Viking Jacket fur clipping near the shoulder in Photo Mode. Fixed crane knot appearing incorrectly around fish tails. No, we didn't nerf Congo River. We also didn't change bite rates of any fish species in Japan, Maldives and so on. We did not. Missions, NPCs & Achievements Improved tracking of boat position for Adventure missions. Adventure missions involving data buoys now complete correctly when all conditions are met. Added compass markers to Norway Adventure missions to help locate objectives. Mission hint messages were converted to a clearer, more readable format. Prevented hint text from briefly reappearing after interactions. Interaction prompts now remain stable when moving around interactive objects. NPC Olaf now turns his head naturally instead of rotating his torso. Updated the description of the “Not Like Titanic” achievement and hid it from the list. Environment, Graphics & Audio Fixed visible water gaps between floor elements in the dock. Corrected mountain shadows appearing on the horizon. Addressed house geometry issues in Norway. Fixed objects shifting position as the character moves. Removed invisible stairs at the main pin in Norway. Reduced excessive seagull sounds in certain areas in Norway. Corrected lens flare appearing at night as if it were daytime. Synchronized seal idle animations when appearing in groups. Adjusted whale fountain speed for a more natural look. Ancient Greenland Shark hat no longer shows a white line under flashlight. Improved shoreline collision at Skarvika to prevent walking through fences or terrain. Competitions Corrected game behavior when restarting during a competition. Prevented players from remaining on the waterway after competitions ended. After closing the Time Is Up window, players are no longer left on the waterway.
