After 9 long and painful months since the game released, it seems that this is the end. Since getting my first Lancelot a month ago, I've had 26 sub-1300 ENDGAMES that didn't make it to the end - and that doesn't include the runs that barely missed the sub-1300 mark which, if you count those, would've taken the counter to over 30 failed runs. This mode is really, really mentally draining. I've had sessions with insane consistency, getting to ENDGAME multiple times, followed by sessions that barely get to 2000s at all. The amount of RNG during the 1300+ section really does not help either; whenever you get good RNG, there's a good chance you're going to get screwed over by a mistake on your part. And then there's the pre-1300 part, which is very important too. Since you get a constant +1 level bonus every 10 Tetrises you make, you want to make as many of them as possible. For sub-1300 ENDGAME, you want at least 60 Tetrises, ideally 70 - and the amount of runs that died to me waiting for the I-piece, trying to squeeze in one more Tetris, is enormous. Nonetheless, I'm super happy that I'm done with this.
