Cansado de caerte una y otra vez y de desquitarte con lo que mas amas como a un familiar o a tu desayuno? Estresado de que Bennet Foddy se burle en tus narices con sus textos cómicos y anticlimaticos? He aquí la solución para mantener tu cordura mental estable y evitar un derrame para tus próximos años de vida querido lector, al ya yo haber logrado subir la montaña 50 veces me considero capaz de darte consejos que podrían llegar a cambiar tu punto de vista sobre este desafiante juego para algunos y para otros una burla al gaming. Pequeña aclaración pro Algo que no especifique y es que acá no te voy a decir los consejos burdos de siempre que ves en vídeos de youtube o en otras guías de como pasar x parte del juego porque eso depende mas de las horas que le dediques y a la habilidad de no estresarte feo, aquí voy a darte consejos para evitar que te desquites con tu mouse terminando en posible homicidio electrónico o quizás algo peor como el asesinato de tu monitor por culpa de tu puño, eso incluye a tu teclado. Primer Tip - Saber a lo que te enfrentas El primer tip es algo que yo use en mis primeros minutos a la hora de jugar este juego, cuando lo compre ya sabia cual era el truco en esta obra, es casi imposible que juegues este juego sin antes haberlo visto de algún otro youtuber como markiplier y otros mens por ahí, el punto es que si sabes a lo que te enfrentas, te recomiendo que no te lo tomes a la ligera y agarres cada caída como prueba de que esto no sera un camino para nada fácil. Segundo tip - Burlas de Bennet Foddy Al principio del juego cuando vayas avanzando, escucharas una voz sensual medio ASMR que te andará contando como fue la creación del juego, anectodas y etc, cuando vayas progresando y obviamente cuando vayas perdiendo progreso a la hora de caerte, este tipo vendrá con comentarios anticlimaticos como frases de ciertos personajes históricos que en vez de ayudar simplemente molestan al jugador a la hora de jugar (que en mi caso fue así) por lo tanto si quieres evitar problemas de autoestima en un futuro próximo, puedes ir a configuraciones y bajarle el volumen a esa voz que se escucha en tu closet a las 3 AM. Lastimosamente los subtitulos no desaparecen pero al menos no tendrás pesadillas con la voz de ese tipo cada vez que pierdas tu valioso progreso. Tercer riñón - Alabado Spotify Si los otros dos tips no te ayudan todavía, este posiblemente te de la solución al problema de la resaca, esta mas claro que el agua que todos tenemos alguna que otra música favorita o al menos alguna que nos encante escuchar hasta el cansancio. Con esto en mano tenemos un par de opciones hots. La primera es de que podemos buscar la música en youtube y colocarla en modo bucle para así tener una fuente ilimitada de tranquilidad y así evitar recibir enojos potentes a la hora de las caídas mas dramáticas. La segunda es casi lo mismo que la primera pero en este caso con Spotify, esta ultima al ser mas especializada en la música, te debe de ser un poco mas fácil poder buscar un gran conjunto de músicas que te gusten y descubrir algunos éxitos que desconocíamos por completo que nos agradaban. Personalmente escuchar músicas a la hora de jugar fue una de las cosas mas entretenidas que pude haber hecho, ya que a la hora de caerme en vez de sentirme con las ganas de matar a alguien, simplemente lo encontraba chistoso y seguía intentando múltiples veces hasta poder pasar esa parte complicada o hasta que me aburriese. Cuatro partes del cadáver Santo - Vídeos narrativos Para los mens mas culturales y medio sofisticados como nosotros, la música no es suficiente para evitar romperle la madre a algo a patadas, así que otra solución no tan usada pero si conocida es de escuchar vídeos informativos para concentrarte en otra cosa mientras juegas, para que a la hora de perder progreso no te sientas tan angustiado, un tantito pero no mucho. Con vídeos informativos no me refiero a las basuras de "reportajes" de algunas cadenas televisivas de ciertos países, sino que me refiero a vídeos informativos como de algún otro juego ya sea el Doom Eternal o algo mas spooky como para cancelar en twitter la ira que sentimos con unas cuantas historias de terror (no creppypastas) como los que hacen los youtubers que recomiendo a continuacion: DrossRotzank, La Dama de Blanco, Ciudadano Z, Herr Dunkelheit, El Orgullo del Operador y Mundo Creepy. Las anécdotas e historias que narran esas personas son una belleza, los recomiendo totalmente para desconectarte un poco de la realidad y abrir tu mente a nuevos horizontes, también para evitar enojarte. Top 5 - No seas idiota Con todos los tips que di con antelación, tengo que aclarar algo (nuevamente), estos tips no harán que de la nada no te enojes ni nada, son mas bien como barreras que tu odio debe de atravesar para que te pueda afectar. Cuando esas barreras no logren aguantar mas y tu odio comience a dar los síntomas de romper la pc gamer, solo cierra el juego y ponte a jugar otra cosa como el Visceras Cleanup Detail, ver algun walktrough de Doom Eternal y darte cuenta que eres pobre o simplemente apaga la pc y ponte a hacer otra cosa como jugar en tu consola (Xbox, PS4, Switch) o dormir solo como el gamer profesional que eres, con el tiempo se te pasara la ira y mas tarde podrás intentar denuevo con otras chicas emos de x país (si son panameñas mejor). Número del diablo :o - No seas idiota x2 Cuando vayas en una parte avanzada del juego llegaras a un punto de hielo donde habrá una cubeta y el doloroso camino de la serpiente, viejo... ya lo viste en vídeos, muy bien que sabes que ocurre cuando montas la serpiente... solo no lo hagas bro. Te arrepentirás de verdad al hacerlo, personalmente nunca lo eh hecho pero esta mas que claro que no hay que hacerlo. Número de la suerte >:D - Final Este es el final mi bro, espero que mis tips logren cambiarte un poco la vida como la conoces y puedas superar tu difícil camino de llegar a la cima. Some of my personal tips and tricks and my experience with getting over it. Some inspiration from the guide made by Epicwindow+-. I recommend you go check out that one too! Gameplay Basics You only have one mode of control, that is your mouse. Your mouse controls a white circle which the head of the hammer will follow. While you can adjust the sensitivity to your liking in the pause menu I would recommend going with the higher end of the spectrum. You may find it to be a little jumpy, but it makes movements that need to be made on the fly in make-or-break situations much easier. Mess around with it as you see fit, don't be too afraid to try new settings. Basic Maneuvers Throughout the game you'll notice there's a lot of different ways to jump, hurdle, and climb. While there's countless different techniques and maneuvers used to traverse in the game, there's five very basic types of locomotion that I feel are essential. Push Jump The Push Jump is exactly what it sounds like, it's the most common move in the game by far and hardly needs an introduction or an explanation. But here one is anyways :) So to perform a push jump you'll need to place the head of the hammer on the ground below you, adjusting the angle where the hammer hits the ground will allow you to jump in different directions. A slight variation of this jump would be to lift yourself off the ground and swinging into the direction you wish to jump and once you reach your desired angle you jump. The added inertia from swinging can give you a the few extra inches you need to clear an obstacle in some situations. Pull Jump Again, exactly how it sounds. You'll want to be hanging from some object, or have your hammer on top of some object above you, and you'll simply pull. I find it's helpful to have your hammer resting closer to the edge of whatever it is you're using to pull jump off of. You also won't want to pull straight down, often times this will smack your head right into the object you're using to pull off of. And then you're gonna fall. And then you're gonna be mad. I'd recommend doing a kind of half circle shape as you pull down, just to be sure you're going to clear whatever it is you're pulling. Lift & Lower Climb Almost a combination of the pull jump and push jump, the lift and lower technique of climbing is invaluable for beginners. It's the lowest risk method of climbing by far, however it can be quite slow and very tedious. The way this method works is by lifting yourself up slowly from an object above, setting yourself atop that object, and then reaching to another object above you and repeating. Often times you'll need to perform a push jump to reach the next object. If this is the case I recommend push jumping, and then immediately and smoothly moving your hammer to a catch position on the next object. Then you can lift yourself up to it, lower yourself down, and repeat! It's all in the name. Swing Climb This one is used heavily by most gold pots and speed-runners, and it's no wonder why. It's fast, and it looks damn good... Even if it's pretty dangerous... To do this one, imagine making multiple circles with your hammer and using each rotation to grab hold of the next object and simultaneously moving yourself upwards. This method is dangerous for the same reason it's so fast. You never stop moving. You carry your momentum all the way from the bottom of the obstacle clear up to the very top. Unlike the lift and lower method, you're not going to be stopping to think before every jump. You'll just swing yourself up, catch, and repeat. Of course a combination of both the lift & lower and swing climb is usually ideal for most players. On the easier parts of the game swing climbing is worth the extra risk, but on the harder parts it's probably worth while to take the extra time with the lift & lower. However there are a LOT of variations on this one, when you watch some of the really fast guys play you'll notice their hammer stays almost completely horizontal as the cruise up the mountain with ease. They can do this because their momentum is so high they don't need as much force on each individual swing, and usually each swing is just to maintain that momentum and make slight adjustments. Bucket You may think you know how to do this. But you don't. Just sit there, throw yourself at the bucket, and suffer. Tips & Tricks Tip 1: The most important tip I have is to take it slow, getting greedy and attempting to throw yourself halfway up the mountain with one ill-advised swing is a recipe for disaster. Tip 2: Stop when you have the opportunities to asses your options, it's important to get a mental image of the movements you want to make before you make them. Tip 3: Don't be too afraid of falling. It's going to happen one way or another on your first try. Embrace it, find humor in it, don't take it too seriously. Tip 4: Take a break. Don't force yourself to keep going if you just don't have the patience for it at the time. This is a game I wouldn't recommend trying to finish in one sitting, it's a marathon. Remember that. Mind Games Survey says that more than half of the game takes place in your mind... At least that's probably what they say... So here's some mind armor for your brain. Mind Armor 1: Remember that you will get there sooner or later if you just keep going, it's only a game however, so don't hurt yourself. Mind Armor 2: Listen to some mellow music, something like King Krule, Low Roar, Slenderbodies, that kinda thing. Whatever works for you to help take your mind away from rage. Mind Armor 3: Make sure it's just you and the mountain. Don't go into it while you're waiting to go do something, that's just too much pressure. Silence your phone and put it far away. Concentrate. It's just you and the mountian. Mind Armor 4: Chew on some gum and have a drink with you. It doesn't have to be gum obviously, you can go full on Doritos and Mtn Dew if you want... Actually Mountain Dew is oddly fitting for the task at hand... Mind Armor 5: Celebrate the small victories. If you get back to a spot you just fell from take pride in that, but not for too long. There's bigger fish to fry. Mind Armor 6: If this isn't the game for you, you'll know pretty early on. If that's the case then refund it and move on, you have nobody but yourself to answer to. Conclusion This is not an easy game, and I wouldn't call it fun. I'm not entirely sure I'd call it a game either. It's a challenge... A challenge that you can conquer. Hopefully this guide encourages you to keep climbing, and hopefully you'll get over it.

Your recent loss was very tragic, this is how to get over it. Background You are a 32 year old man, who has just lost his wife. You first met her when she was just 16 years old. Both of you met each other and started talking to each other. Soon, you started dating her. You loved her, everyday you would watch TV together. You and your girlfriend would go to the park with your dog named Zekey. You would watch the beautiful sunset as she chases you around the park. Oh what beautiful times these were, when our love was plentiful. Our love blossomed over time and eventually, you got married at age 19. it was something wonderful, something splendid. Both of you had no regrets at all. You went to Paris for your honeymoon, and there you kissed her and hugged her in front of the Eiffel tower. It was a beautiful moment in your life for sure. In your marriage, you would always go on dates with her, go to the movies, the beach, the park, and anywhere else. She was like your best friend, she was everything for you, and you were everything for her. It was very apparent that your relationship would last for life. You never argued with her, you agreed on everything with her, she was your soulmate. At age 21 you had your first child with her, and you had all the love in the world for your daughter. Your second child soon came a year later, and you loved your son more than anything in the world (other than your wife). You had a good paying job, you were a father, and you had the best wife ever. Your life was a dream. One day, 3 years ago, you decided to create a Steam account, and things went downhill from there. What "Getting Over It" did to you You created your Steam account, and went downhill from there. You found this game called "Getting Over it with Bennett Foddy" and decided to buy it. You played the game, and you got frustrated by falling over and over again. You were determined to finish the game, you were determined to make this game a cakewalk, but that required effort. You were there for hours upon hours. Your wife invited you to dinner that day, but for the first time ever, you rejected. Your wife was in utter confusion on what had happened to you, but she slowly walked away. Your kids wanted you to play soccer with them, but you rejected them once more. Your entire family was wondering on what had happened to you. You stayed up all day, all night, playing Getting Over It. You never took a shower, and kept on ordering fast food from Uber Eats. Your family soon figured out what happened to you; you became a gamer. Your wife decided to take care of the kids herself soon forgot about you. Once in a while, your wife remembered all the memorable moments you had with her, and she sometimes cried hoping you would stop playing someday. A week since you started playing and your boss fired you. They found out you became a gamer. Right before they fired, they took a look at what you had done to the company, the boss almost cried. They thought of the years of college it took to get your master's, then on top of that being the valedictorian, top of your class. They realized that without you, their company wouldn't be the multi-billion dollar company it is today. After the crying for losing another great person was gone, they fired you. Everyone you knew cried, they fell to their knees, they couldn't believe that someone like you became a gamer. Soon, your funeral was held. You weren't dead, but, you entire personality and character was. You were now soulless, just a shell of what you were. Your colleagues spoke about your outstanding contributions to their lives, the company, and the world. There, Getting Over it was humiliated and vilified by everyone. At the end, several cauldrons were destroyed with hammers, to symbolize their hatred for what the game had done. What you were doing As everyone cried as they saw you become into a fat, obese, brain dead gamer that plays Getting Over It all day, you were living the dream. You became an absolute pro and in no time you got the golden cauldron. You started speedrunning the game, and you reached the leaderboards. Each time you were getting faster and faster and even faster! One day, you achieved the world record, glitchless, as well as with glitches, and you celebrated. When you became the top speedrunner, and a renowned player, you started playing custom maps. Everything related to the game you played, and you played all day. One day, you had played every single map out there, you had the world record in every category, and had done basically everything in the game. Finally, after years of non-stop playing, you got bored. Then, for the first time in 3 years, you got out the room. Your house was crumbling. There were dead rats everywhere, rats, and moss was growing on the walls. You then realized what happened, your wife divorced you without your acknowledgement, and your kids were gone. Then you had a flashback of your past. Your had a breakdown on the spot. You were broke. All you had was the now broken and torn business suit you were wearing when you first started playing, and your foul odor. Your business suit was too small for you, you were massive.
