What comes out is an easy-to-learn, hard-to-master open-world multiplayer experience to explore and master together with your friends. A vast open world, with each platforming track bringing its own interesting twist, is waiting for you — all of this with no hand-holding. There are no minimaps, quest markers, or tutorials that treat you like you're dumb. WE BELIEVE IN 3 CORE PILLARS:1. NO HAND HOLDING AND FREEDOMThis experience won't drag you through a forced tutorial. We believe part of the fun comes from discovering and learning our mechanics independently. The parkour will get tough. You will rage, but the sweet feeling of accomplishment will be worth it.Games and game design have gotten progressively more scientific in recent years, to the point where they tailor experiences to minimize frustrating moments and leave no room for boredom. THE CANON OF BALLS purposely removes navigational help, such as minimaps or a compass. We want players to explore our map freely and remember interesting landmarks that help them traverse our world. We take a big, fat dump on player pings—shoot a flare instead and have fun finding each other on the map.2. IMMERSION RISES WITH DETAILWe put a lot of work into our sound design to give the BALLS as much weight as possible, all to create a snappy gameplay experience with memorable juice. Our world is fully "handcrafted" to be a non-repetitive, non-modular open world. We purposely didn't build a modular "copy and paste" kit to craft our levels. This gives the journey through our architecture a non-repetitive feeling that won't get boring fast. All of our parkour courses feature a specific idea, twist, or thought to make sure everything feels fresh in a different way. No AI, no art assets!3. EVERYTHING IS BETTER TOGETHERFrom the start, we knew THE CANON OF BALLS should be something to experience with friends. Without setting any rules or multiplayer objectives, our world provides its own platform to give birth to fun, memorable, virtual togetherness. Our premise was the good old days of playing Minecraft parkour maps and talking about all kinds of things while you struggled together. You can be competitive and see who reaches a collectible first, or play more cooperatively, navigating together and waiting for each other. The freedom is in the hands of the group, and we can't wait to see how you all choose to play it. The word "co-op" might be a bit stretched for our game, as there are no real mechanics that require multiple players—it all works solo.
