On a neglected industrial planet in the backwoods of the Galactic Federation, a chemist receives supernatural visions which instruct him to alchemize the most potent psychoactive chemical in the galaxy. In the years since, the global authoritarian regime have imposed the death penalty on anyone caught emitting what they dub "rogue brainwaves". As robot death machines exterminate dissidents and outcasts in droves, a cult of sewer-dwelling rebels gather in secret to partake of the aforementioned substance in pursuit of an agenda that they themselves don't fully comprehend.
