Gemaboy Zero X is an action, exploration, and platform Cyberpunk Ploidmania videogame. It is the latest installment in the PLOIDS saga in which Omega will have to travel through time to preserve it and rescue his beloved Alpha. Gemaboy Zero X is inspired by classic games, while additionally, mixing run and gun mechanics with metroidvania for main gameplay, and various mini-games with shoot’em up structure, mini puzzles, and more. Alpha and Omega Ploids enter a new link of evolution due to time travel, making them PLOID X, an ability that temporarily improves their systems allowing them to fight. Alpha is kidnapped by Dr. Elo so he can extract the essence within her that allowed for the evolutional change in her DNA to PLOID X. With this, Dr. Elo manages to create his own army of PLOIDS X by modifying regular PLOIDS. Omega decides to take action and end Dr. Elo's plans by defeating his PLOIDS X to weaken him before the final fight.
