Sydney and the Cicadas were a punk rock band from Vermont in the early 1990's, consisting of friends and lovers Sydney Wickstrom (lead guitarist/vocalist), Ruby Goodbrey (bassist), and Natalia 'Tally' Disston (drummer). They largely performed as a cover band until the summer of 1992, when they went on an excursion to an abandoned citadel to explore an original album. Only Sydney returned, finishing the band's first and only album Immanentize on September 21, 1993, with the help of Ruby's brother,
