What is Grounders the playground game: Grounders is a popular variation of tag played on playgrounds where the person/s who are it must keep their eyes closed and the person/s being chased must stay off of the ground. If a player is on the ground, a Grounder (someone who is it) can call "Grounders" and catch them without having to touch them. The game ends when all players are caught.
