STARFALL is a space adventure game of cool exploration, interactions, puzzle solving, and getting past difficult areas by thinking creatively. A mix of picking up and using items to clear a path forward, talking to anyone who isn’t dead already, making daring bodily maneuvers to get where you want, hacking computer systems, piloting vehicles, helping crew mates, all while desperately trying to circumvent enemy hostiles and stay alive. BRIEF GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW You will walk, talk, look, pick up, use and abuse anything and everything around you in order to succeed with your mission. LOOK at everything - any small detail could prove invaluable in advancing further. The game’s areas are rich in both graphics and descriptive texts. Simply type what you want to do, and the game’s parser/interpreter will respond depending on your wording. Show off your craftiness. Even if you typed the wrong solution, you might get a funny response from the game. And sometimes a vague hint. Paying attention to detail, thinking creatively, and being able to remember each current objective -- are key traits. Do you have what it takes? PUZZLES & ACTION Not everything is about picking up items and using the parser. You will also encounter puzzles where you need to master the art of controling computers, machines and even vehicles. (mini-games) And since bad guys are around, get ready to dodge some incomig fire too! HOW DOES IT PLAY? The different game phases all come together for a good dose of varying gameplay, keeping you interested and entertained, lasting hours upon hours. No two parser solutions are ever the same, every biological interaction is unique, and every interactive puzzle (game-in-game) is its own play style completely. Even if you reach the story’s ending, it is more than likely that you missed some things on your first run. Your final score will give you some idea of how much more there is to discover. COSMIC SATISFACTION Typing a correct solution will make graphics animate, sound effects play, and the parser give up new information, clues and advance the story. Each success leads to new options or discoveries along with an idea of what your next move should be. Outsmarting an obstacle means showing the game how clever or varied approaches you can think of. Some things are easier and may be solved quickly, but then there are those harder challenges where you’ve tried everything. Except that one last idea which turns out to be right - and suddenly the screen comes alive and the game lets you move on. First the feeling of accomplishment, and then the excitement of what unseen lies ahead. Rewards for a correct solution are diverse - sometimes you can pick up a new item, or enter a new room, gain access to something new, and unravel more of the storyline. Half the fun of this adventure game is travelling through all the great locations and interacting with things and being on a roll. The fun’s other half is being stumped somewhere and beating yourself on how to advance. Sometimes the best remedy is to pause your gaming for a while and then return to give it another try. See if you come up with a new approach. Or try something wacky. GAME-in-GAME SATISFACTION And then we have the interactive puzzles where you need to figure out how to make computers work, learn to use industrial machinery master complex vehicle controls, and more. These are the games-in-the-game which work completely different from the parser challenges. Every mini-game has unique mechanics and these challenges don’t come with instructions, so you will need to try everything. For each step you get the hang of, the fun increases.
