The game follows John Hill, a 42-year-old retired detective suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome following the suicide of his wife. After a series of hallucinations John is trapped in “A Simple Door” which this time manifests itself as a 1970's television studio, forcing John to go through a series of atrocious and repulsive scenarios created by his own mind, thus making John face his own personal hell now called “A Simple Door”.
