Set within a decaying city hidden from all maps, you are an unnamed traveler whose only guide is a cryptic voice on the radio and your own unraveling sanity. Inspired by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft and the disquieting silence of forgotten places, Unseen offers a branching story with multiple endings shaped by the player's moral choices, actions, and sanity level. Dialogue choices matter. What you say—and what you choose not to—can shape not only your fate but the world around you. Gameplay features a lightweight dice roll mechanic similar to tabletop RPGs. When faced with critical decisions or difficult tasks, a hidden dice roll determines the outcome—adding tension and unpredictability to every step. There are no combat mechanics—only investigation, interaction, and inevitable descent. Each character you meet hides something. Each alley you turn down may lead to revelation... or ruin. The truth is out there, but can you face it? Prepare to uncover stories that were never meant to be told. Some doors should remain closed. Some knowledge should remain **Unseen.** # Choose Your Witness to the Unseen Before delving into the unknown, you must choose your vessel—your witness. Each character carries their own past, strengths, and scars. Their minds fracture differently, their hearts endure in unique ways, and their voices shape the world that awaits. In this version, you meet Tarn Evraas, a reclusive occultist haunted by whispers older than language. His knowledge comes at a cost; his heart beats to forgotten truths, and his will teeters on the edge of collapse. He begins his descent with a Runed Stone Tablet, a relic no sane mind should hold. Each character has their own stats: **Lore** – Knowledge of ancient symbols and arcane texts. **Influence** – Ability to sway others or mask your intent. **Observation** – How clearly you see through the veil. **Strength** – Physical resilience when confronted by the unknown. **Will** – Mental fortitude when faced with horror. Your choice is more than cosmetic. It alters the world, changes what you see... and what sees you in return. More characters will be added in future versions—each with a different story to tell, and a different price to pay. # A Moment of Choice — and Consequence In Unseen, every whisper, every creak of the floorboards might be something more. This is your encounter screen — where tension builds and fate takes form through the roll of a die. Here, the world reacts to your stats, choices, and luck. Each encounter presents a Skill Check tied to one of your attributes: Will, Strength, Observation, Lore, or Influence. Success or failure isn't just flavor — it bends the path ahead, sometimes subtly… sometimes irreversibly. **Skill Check Type**: The required stat and its modifier. **Success**: You endure, gain insight, or grow stronger. **Failure**: Sanity cracks. Reality twists. The Unseen takes hold. **Dice Roll**: Based on your current stat, modified by the situation. This scene: “Whispers Beneath the Floorboards” …tests your Will. Do you resist the pull of the voice below, or listen too closely and slip into something darker? The choices you make are not forgotten. They build your story. They build you.
