To prepare for the onslaught of cryptids, use the blood runes gathered from the previous waves to build troop camps and defensive towers to fend off the incoming hordes. Choose from a range of different structures, with every one remaining for the rest of the run via an advanced save system, so you can leave at any time and pick up right where you left off. And remember, without an army by your side, your base will be quickly overwhelmed, so plan accordingly and create an impenetrable fortress that the forest dwellers will fear!As the waves progress, so will the difficulty of the enemies that will come to attack you. To counter this, upgrade your troops and buildings to keep the enemy from overpowering them and your base. Your army isn't the only one defending the Mountain pass, so make sure to use your experience points to unlock new abilities for your Chieftain, as well as upgrading his overall stats to deal devastating strikes on the hordes!You have only one goal in this game, and that is to defend your base from the creatures of the Appalachian wilderness, as they seek to breach the Mountain pass (which you are guarding) and expand their territory into the rest of Appalachia. Using a roguelike progression system, the waves only end when your defences falter, so don't stop building and upgrading, or more importantly... Don't. Stop. Fighting.
