Changelog for 2.5.410 PvP Event: Treasures of the Sand Temple This is the game’s first experimental PvP event. - A new area has been added in the Withered Canyon: Ruins of the Temple in the Canyon, where the PvP event takes place. This is a safe PvP zone with mounts disabled: there is no loot or durability loss on death. Players can quickly leave the zone via a special NPC. - An additional bridge has been added in the Valley of Ancestors near the Valley of Screams area, allowing players who only want to gather resources to bypass the PvP event zone. - Conrad, the archaeologist’s nephew, has appeared in Hartfurt. He explains the event, gives quests, and teleports players to the location. - Conrad sells weapons infused with sand spirits for use in the event zone and the city arena. These weapons help beginners compete with high-level players. Ranged weapons do not require ammunition. - The Treasures of the Sand Temple and an altar describing the zone mechanics are located in the center of the Temple Ruins in the Canyon. - Sand guardians and Excavation Sites for obtaining rewards can be found in the Temple Ruins. - Mysterious Sand Temple Boxes have been added. They can be obtained from Excavation Sites, the final chest in the center of the ruins, and in the in-game store. - Mysterious Sand Temple Boxes contain thematic items from the Treasures of the Sand Temple event: 11 unique decorative items (mount skins, warehouse skins, bottomless chest and statue, cloaks and masks), consumables (including the new Scarab Beetle Symbol that lowers a pet’s level by 1), food that restores Inspiration and has new effects, premium scrolls and dominium extensions, and other items of varying value. - New thematic food, drinks, organs, and other valuables have been added, obtainable by killing guardians and exploring Excavation Sites. - Deadly Weapons have been added, obtainable with a small chance from exploring Excavation Sites. These weapons grant powerful effects for fighting other players but only work in the Ruins and have low durability. Improvements and Fixes: - Manually controlled pet skills should now correctly activate during movement and attacks (the attack will be interrupted). - Fixed incorrect pet behavior at different heights. Healing abilities should now trigger while running. - Fishing is now impossible while hungry or exhausted. - The Boundary Wanderer has been added to the port city. In the future, he will allow server transfers using a Space Distortion Crystal purchased from the store. - Deleting friends and enemies now requires confirmation. Friend and enemy list sizes increased to 200. - Cthulhu organs charges reduced from 660 to 220. - Fixed errors with maximum skill values based on your feedback. - Fixed a bug where visual experience gain was displayed even when a skill was at maximum level. - Fixed a bug where guild applications were not cleared if the applicant was already in another guild. - Fixed a bug where the action indicator overlapped the pet skills panel. Weapon Balance Improvements: - Swords. “Bleed” damage 100% → 120%, “Feint” cooldown 30s → 27s, “Pierce” cooldown 25s → 22s, stamina cost 10 → 15. Swords now have an additional parry bonus based on quality. - Axes. Slightly reduced “Cleave” damage (e.g., at 30% HP: 255% → 238%), cooldown 20s → 22s. - Parrying. Added a level 50 passive “Concentration on the Run”: half your current parry chance applies even while running when hit. Axe parrying passive 10% → 7.5%, sword parrying passive 15% → 10%. - Blunts. Base attack range +8.33%, attack and cast speed +6.67%. Abilities now apply splash damage instead of single-target. - Knives. “Strike Vulnerable Spot” cooldown 7s → 8s, cost 10 → 12; “Lethal Strike” cooldown 15s → 18s. - Slings. Base attack speed +7%. All projectiles now have a 10% chance to apply “Half Protection” for 3 seconds. - Spears. Base spears: increased lower damage threshold, crit chance 5% → 7.5%. Demonic spears plague damage lower limit 7 → 6. Throw range 15 → 14, throw cost 3 → 5. Range and cost were previously equal to bows, which was slightly unfair, especially given slings and throwing abilities have range 12. - Healer. Fixed a bug where healing and other combat-related actions did not put the healer into combat status. Experienced Healer Kit healing power 125% → 110%, Morbium Healer Kit 150% → 130%, Reptile Healer Kit 180% → 165%, Reptile Healer Kit II 250% → 215%. - Light Shields. Block chance increased by 20% of current values. Crossbows: - Base attack speed of all crossbows increased by 7.5%. - All crossbows now have a quality-dependent chance to block melee attacks. - Bronze bolts damage 10 → 13, ignore absorption 20% → 22%. - Iron bolts damage 15 → 16, ignore absorption 25% → 26%, ignore protection 15% → 13%. - Steel bolts ignore protection 20% → 16%. - Effect bolts damage 25 → 18 (Plague 30 → 20), ignore absorption 30% → 25%, ignore protection 20% → 10%. Their base stats were higher than regular bolts, making regular bolts useless. - “Damage Shock” chance on players 50% → 30%. - Plague Crossbow now has 10% ignore absorption, non-plague damage upper bound 70 → 64, lower bound 50 → 45. - Undead Crossbow attack speed 200% → 175%, damage bounds reduced by 5%. Undead Crossbow II attack speed 250% → 210%, damage bounds reduced by 7%. Slow effect removed. As the fastest crossbow, it already has frequent stuns. Two control effects on a fast crossbow was too much. Exotic crossbows also lost less effective power than the numbers suggest due to the repeat-shot-without-reload ability.
