《明星志愿2000》是一款模拟恋爱养成游戏。主角的乐团因为专辑始终没有很卖座的表现，而遭到唱片公司解散。虽然乐团遭到瓦解的命运，但是主角并不因此而退出演艺圈，反而立志闯出自己的一片天。 游戏特色 游戏时间设定为三年，在游戏前期，由于能力的关系，主角只能待在民歌餐厅里演唱打工。但是随着经验的累计，打工的项目会慢慢增加，通往明星的道路也越来越好走了。 除了各种打工项目外，累积了一定人气后，还可以接取通告。游戏中包含五花八门的通告将近1000个，类型分为唱片、电视、电电影、写真集、广告五大类。此外，在主角符合某些条件后，还会有专上门邀请的特殊通告出现。例如：爱心游园会、选举助选、服装代言人……等。 事业：体验不同的演艺生涯 依照玩家三年来的努力方向、工作性质、自我培养来做判断。可以区分为「演技」、「歌唱」、 「主持」、 「商场经营」、 「圈外人士」五大类，共36种结局。 友情：纷纷扰扰的演艺圈 除了发展自己的演艺事业之外，主角还可以帮游戏中的角色解决一些生活上或是工作上的难题。像是排解感情纠纷，寻找失传的宝物或是打听隐退多年的老演员的消息等。当主角解决这些问题之后，可以相关属性，甚至是得到一些无法买到的物品。 爱情：甜蜜浪漫的恋爱旅程 游戏中玩家会有追求9位美女的机会，每个女生的追求难度都不一样，有几个相当有难度呦！ 挑战王牌经纪人 在游戏中，当主角的事业达到一定的成就之后，将有机会选择是否成为艺人方若绮的经纪人。成为经纪人之后，主角也可以选择经纪人和演艺事业两者兼顾，或成为一个专业的经纪人。
