VR is a really intense and immersive way to experience music. The best way I can describe Apex is like when I was fifteen and went to a death metal concert, and what I felt being in the crowd as the band played, the aggression and the energy. It’s overwhelming and kind of scary but it makes you feel something. And that’s what I wanted to do with Apex. There is destruction but there is also beauty in what you are seeing. It’s really more of an atmosphere than a traditional story. With VR it’s really hard to tell a story in the traditional sense. You visualize it in your mind in the traditional way, different shots, controlling the frame. But in VR when a character walks away they are still in the world, so you have to think about it in a much different way than films. So something like Apex is more of a pure atmosphere. And that’s what I’m interested in doing now, putting people in worlds more than telling traditional stories in those worlds. Quantum Apex is currently being developed by a 1 man team. Its a Sci fi Stunt/Street racing game set in the future. Race through sweeping bends, tight turns, hairpins, jumps and much much more! Attack brutal race tracks with even more brutal machines, watch out for destructible obstacles that can help slow your opponents down. Each Car you buy will be totally unique to Quantum Apex, no real life brands are featured in this game. There are different tiers of car that include Street/Sports, Super, Hyper and Formula Q. Every car has a different feel to the handling and has varying performance stats, some will drift better while some will land jumps more easily. The race environments vary from earth to high orbit and even Mars! Each race track is designed around a different set of obstacles or Stunts. Different cars will be more capable on certain race tracks, with some jumps being impossible in slower cars, choosing the right car for the right track is important. There is also a chill out / play Area in the form of a car skate park, plenty of opportunity's to hone your skills and get to know your cars handling in extreme situations.
