Happy New Year! Hopefully you enjoyed the holidays. It's been a little quiet on our end, but we've actually still been working on the game behind-the-scenes all this time, slowly working on updates. We had to take a bit of a break to focus on releasing our other game, Rhythm Doctor, into its full 1.0 and then taking a few weeks to rest afterwards. But now that we're back…we have a new ADOFAI update for you, just in time for the 7th Anniversary of the game's release! Here's what's new: World AR: Libertas New Featured Levels: Classic Wave 12 and Tech Wave 3 We also want to let you know that we're almost done with the Nintendo Switch version of A Dance of Fire and Ice, and we'll have news on the release date very soon. If you missed the announcement, we'll also be adding local co-op multiplayer to both the PC/Mac and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. When we first started making A Dance of Fire and Ice, I don't think we ever could have imagined that people would still be playing the game seven years later. It's been very crazy (and very fun) to see how the concept of representing music as a winding path can be iterated in so many different ways. Thank you for playing all these years! New Level: Libertas We're excited to add a new level to the game! Libertas is a track by Zekk, coming to ADOFAI as part of Arcaea's Crossing Pulse song exchange. Arcaea is a fantastic rhythm game that we've looked up to for a long time, so it's a huge honor to be able to take part in Crossing Pulse. It's available on mobile and Nintendo Switch. If you didn't know, the mobile version of Arcaea actually includes Third Sun, from the Neo Cosmos DLC. Check it out! Our Libertas level also includes some guest art! A few of the segments were drawn by Juan Diego León, a Peruvian artist we've been excited to work together with! The frantic channel-flipping nature of this level was a perfect opportunity to use different art styles, and we're so happy with how Juan brought our cyberpunk and superhero ideas to life. New Featured Levels Classic Wave 12 NULCTRL Music by Silentroom Level by kernbYote vs. Team P.A.L. NULCTRL was one of the most iconic BMS songs from G2R2018, praised for the song's unique influence from beatbox artists and its interactive BGA. Hear its "brrts and bwoomps" as it finally arrives in ADOFAI, featuring a "Neo Cosmos Award" nominee from LOTY2022! "DON'T STOP TO THE CLUB GO SILENT" Heart of Android: Even If It's Only By Mechanism Music by かめりあ (Camellia) Level by SaJabe, Bingsu An "Art-est Award" nominee from LOTY2024, this level was praised for its captivating storytelling and enjoyable gameplay! Embark on the journey of a robot who tries to learn the concept of love and meet the love of his life in the shining meadow. 白線を渡って (Hakusen Wo Watatte) Music by seatrus Level by hotduck, NumbEr07, B.Sanmul Feel the daylight breeze as you hop through hoops in this breathtaking level, winner of the "Developers' Choice Award" in LOTY2024! Say, astronomer, would you like to relax and enjoy this amazing scenery for a while? Tech Wave 3 After school Music by Author wind Level by pixxy Another level from 2020! A fan favorite for its simple and fun gameplay. For its inclusion to Featured Levels in 2026, pixxy has given it a complete makeover with improved charting and VFX! One Way Street ("Endless" Long Ver.) Music by siqlo Level by yeonseok22 + Editor AlriC (feat. Pharah & ChyaRyam) One Way Street is siqlo's take-off to wide acclaim thanks to its popular arrival on BOFU2017 and several rhythm games! We're happy to let ADOFAI be its next destination as we feature this amazing level, a finalist from the VFX competition CDF5 and winner of "Developers' Choice Award" in LOTY2024! This Future (we didn't expect) Music by かめりあ (Camellia) Level by Shopping & hotduck & Editor AlriC Project : Digital Love is a collaborative project by the community, where they make a level for each song from Camellia's album "heart of android". To extend our appreciation for projects like these, we decided to feature some of the levels that we liked, including this level, a "Gameplay (Tech/High)" nominee from LOTY2024!
