You want to get Sapper without grinding the ultra lategame for 50+ hours? In this guide I share the fastest way known to me to get the achievement (8% per hour!). Intro This guide shows a method to farm pops for the Sapper achievement in a way that is easy to set up and easy to automate. Testing on my part showed that the set up takes about 1 hour, after that you should expect about 8-9% of the achievement per hour, resulting in 10-15 hours for all 100%. Further information in the last chapter. First of all a few introductory remarks: The method is only viable on PC (might actually be viable on mobile, I didn't test xP ) Even though it is much faster than every other method I know of, it still needs a substancial time investment (but can be automated quite easily). No MK or Paragons need to be unlocked "Only a few achievements left ...... Would be nice to have them all." That's what I thought a few days ago, so I set out to get the remaining achievements for this game. Of the currently 153 achievements I got many naturally by just playing the game, others can be done in just one game. So with my 950 hours playtime in Bloons, only the most grindy and stupid achievements were left, like Medal Winner (I only play coop), Insta Century (who ever uses insta monkeys?) and the infamous Sapper. As I seldom play ultra late-game or boss events I only had 60% on the achievement and I did't want to wait until I get the achievement naturally after another 600 hours. So I set out to find a way to quickly pop the remaining fortified bloons. And if that is the reason you're here too, you're in the right place. How to pop fortified bloons Popping 5,000,000 bloons doesn't sound that bad at first listen, we often have to pop some 3,000,000 bloons to unlock a new monkey and that is done in a few games. However, here comes the catch: Fortified bloons are really, really rare. In the first 100 rounds of the game there is only a total of 2953 fortified bloons, so you would have to play 1694 times to round 100 to get the achievement. Not that doesn't sound practical at all. Playing to round 140 results in a total of 21,510 fortified bloons, so we would have to play 233 times, which is better, but not enough. If we play in the ABR mode, the numbers get even better. The first 100 rounds contain 5087, the first 140 rounds 30,536. Well, I don't want to sink hundreds of hours into one single achievement and I don't think you do, so we need a faster method. Standard methods If you look up guides for this achievement they mostly suggest one of these two methods: Play the ultra late-game (until round ~ 250-300) Play Elite Bloonarius Now, let's look at these methods. According to @VathoGaming (who has a very in-depth video on how to get the achievement) you get around 4% of the achievement playing to round 300. That's great. We only need to do that 25 times to get all 100%. To reach this round you need ~2 hours if your PC can handle it. This means you have to grind for 50 hours. Finally we're getting closer to a practical solution to our problem. The other method is playing Elite Bloonarius as they spawn a lot of fortified bloons on tier 5. I haven't tested it, but according to some quick calculations beating all 5 tiers by round 139, you should get about 21,000 from normal bloon spawns and 26,000 from bloonarius spawns, which means you would have to beat bloonarius 106 times. Both methods still take wayy to much time for my liking and even worse, they require you to farm, build a strong defense and all in all be very much present for most of the time. Our method I was about to give up and start my first run of Elite Bloonarius, when I read a comment by @crystalzz3832 under @VathoGaming's video. He claims that if you leak bloons in CHIMPS mode and use the "retry last round" button, the fortified bloons you popped in the round still count towards the achievement. This is great news. It means we can, in theory, play the same round over and over again and progress the achievement. @crystalzz3832 did it on round 103, but now my research instict awakens. So let's find out what the best round for this new method is: Round 103 spawns out the equivalent of 1100 fortified bloons in 19 seconds, which equals 57.9 fortified bloons per second (fps). Of all 140 predetermined round the one that has the highest fps is round 107 with an fps of 95. Wow, that's great, than that must be the bast round to do this! Well ... it doesn't suffice to just spawn the bloons, we still need to pop them ... and leak to them, otherwise we would progress to the next round. And the poblem is, that most of the rounds with a high fps spawn out fortified ZOMGs (not so surprising, as each of them contain many smaller fortified bloons) which are super slow and tanky. Furthermore, if we have a great defense, we probably won't leak and if our defense is meager, it takes ages to pop them. Ok then, but which round is the best? Enter ... round 163. This round only has a fps score of 47 (which by the way is still on the higher end of the spectrum), but it is a special round: Mirroring the infamous round 63, to which all of us died countless times, it is comprised of waves of ceramics and leads, most of which are fortified. No slow MOAB-class bloons at all. This makes it easy to pop the bloons fast. Unfortunately, while round 63 is difficult at the time, round 163 is one of the easiest rounds in the game. For how can you leak to a few ceramics if you poped hordes of ZOMGs and BADs the previous rounds? But round 163 has an answer for everything. It is the lead bloons, more specifically the camo lead bloons. If we have no defense against those, we can pop the ceramics, then leak to the leads. Easy! Ok. Our basic idea stands. Now we only need a way to reach round 163 ... in CHIMPS mode and have a defense that at this point doesn't have a way to pop camo lead bloons (anymore) ... Nothing easier than that ;) Here the actual guide starts Now to start grinding the achievement we first have to actually reach round 163 in CHIMPS mode. My method requires almost no micro, so you should be able to replicate it without difficulty, even if you have no experience with the CHIMPS gamemode. RequirementsYou have to have unlocked the following: Tier 5 Monkeys: Super, Engi, Druid, Glue Hero: Adora (please use Voidora skin because it's the best one) Map: CHIMPS mode on Three Mines 'RoundNote I suggest to turn off autostart so you have enough time to follow the steps. You never need to place a tower in the middle of a round and you rarely have to use an ability. If my instructions only specify the round on which to do something, that means before the start of the round (at which point the game still displays the last round). It is not required to follow the placements exactly, I will specify if a tower has to be placed in range of another. Don't be afraid to leak to the bloons as you can always "retry last round" in CHIMPS modeNow let's begin!Select CHIMPS mode on the map Three Mines 'Round with Adora as your hero. Early-Game Round 6Place down a 0-0-0 ninja, this cute little monke will let you breeze through the first few rounds of the game.

The Grind Wow, you've reached round 163 in CHIMPS mode, if that isn't an achievement in its own right. If you did follow the guide meticulously, all you have to do now is start the round. You will see that the Spirit of the Forest is able to pop all the fortified ceramics, but none of the monkeys can pop the camo leads. So you leak to one of the lead waves and now you only have to press "retry last round" to start the round again. IMPORTANT: Never press "home" when in the defeat screen! Always press "retry last round" first, then you can savely exit to the home menu. Unfortunately even if the bloons on round 163 are preset, the order in which they appear is not. So if you have a bad seed, it might be that all of the non-fortified bloons spawn first. If that is the case, you have the Glue Strike to use on the first wave of leads to extend the time until you leak and let more fortified bloons spawn. In my experience you pop around 100-150 fortified bloons per second with this method. Which results in an overall time of around 10-15 hours. I know what you think: I have to press "retry last round" every 10 seconds for the next 15 hours? No way! Isn't there a way to automate this stupid action? How to automate it So you want to automate the grind? Well you know that using any kind of software that automates some actions in the game is cheating and not allowed, right? And I have to say, that neither do I want to entice the use of an autoclicker nor do I endorse any kind of cheating. But ... If you have set your mind to doing such a lothsome action, I just want to make sure that you don't do anything that might hurt you or your computer, as some autoklickers include malware. So I am giving you a quick overview of how an autoclicker would work, if one were to use one. AutoclickerAs I don't trust the many autoclickers that float around in the internet, we're gonna build our own autoclicker with autohotkey (which is open-source). Step 1Download Autohotkey v2 at https://www.autohotkey.com/ or build it from source at https://github.com/AutoHotkey/AutoHotkey/tree/v2.0. Step 2Now we need to know the position of the "retry last round" button to know where the autoclicker should click. On a 1920x1080 screen it should be at (1300, 800). If you have another resolution you can open Autohotkey Dash > Window Spy to see the position of your cursor. Furthermore, you need to know the time it takes from pressing "retry last round" back to the defeat screen. You'll find this value easiest by testing a bit. Step 3Now create a new autohotkey script (it is a normal text file but has the extension .ahk instead of .txt) and copy the following code into it: #Requires AutoHotkey v2.0 ; input time in milliseconds of one loop ; example: it takes 8 seconds from pressing "retry last round" back to the defeat menu ; then next line should be: period := 8000 period := 8000 ; function that executes one loop of clicks and key presses AutoClick(){ ; input the position of the "retry last round"-button ; example: on 1920x1080 screen the position is around (1300, 800) ; then next line should be: Click("1300 800") Click("1300 800") ; input time in milliseconds how long it takes from pressing "retry last round" to being able to start the round ; example: it takes about 0.75 seconds ; then next line should be: Sleep(750) Sleep(750) ; two space inputs for starting the round and changing to fast-forward SendInput("{Space}") Sleep(100) SendInput("{Space}") ; if you want to use a Glue Strike-Ability, ; uncomment the next few lines and input the correct values ;; input time in milliseconds until ability should be used after round starts ; Sleep(4000) ;; input correct hotkey for the ability ;; example: it is ability 7, then hotkey should be 7 ; SendInput("7") } ; press CTRL and w to start/pause the script ^w:: { static toggle := false toggle := !toggle SetTimer(AutoClick , toggle ? period : 0) } ; press ESC-key to terminate the script ESC:: { ExitApp() } Step 4Change the period and click position to the values that apply for your setup and save the script. Now you can start the script by double-clicking the file and start the autoclicking by pressing CTRL and w. If you want to stop the script, press ESC. Step 5Get the achievement while being afk Test results and further information While the bloons that spawn on round 163 are preset, unfortunately the order in which they spawn is random. Spread over 63 seconds a total of 2565 fortified ceramics spawn in sets of varying density. 1000 non-fortified ceramic spawn, as well as 5 sets of 100 leads each, of which one set is comprised of non-camo leads (which Adora can pop). One could expect to pop 2565 / 63 seconds = 40.7 fortified bloons per second (fps). By playing on fast-forward (3x) this number rises to 122.1 fps. Though this is more of an upper bound as we need time for the lead bloons to exit and for us to restart the round. As there are quite a lot of non-fortified bloons in the round (and the density of the fortified sets vary greatly), there is a risk of getting a bad seed, meaning that the denser sets of fortified ceramics spawn after the first lead wave. I did 4 test runs (to find a nice set up), of which one had a seed where all of the 1000 non-fortified ceramics spawn before the first leads, resulting in only 42.8 fps over the round, a third of the pursued goal of 122 fps. I only timed one other run exacly, which had 128 fps, but the others had similar scores. As the variance between runs is quite high, it might prove advantageous to do another run, if one gets a bad seed on the first run. Other stuffI noticed, that sometimes the Spirit of the Forest fails to pop one ceramic (feels like a bug), that can however result in an even better fps, as it eliminates the need to wait for the slower leads to exit. Unfortunately, I don't know how to reproduce the bug consistently. I hope the guide was helpful to you! Thanks for reading!
