Tabs is a great game. With the addition of the UC its one of the best simulation type games (In my opinion.) There are some things that I feel can push this from being a great game to a legendary game. Intro The Tabs UC is great, but there are multiple things i thing could add to it. There are some things that may never come and some that might be planned. In the end I have no idea what landfall is adding or altering about the UC but I decided to make a guide showing what i think could be cool. Body types This one is quick. I want to be able to use every body type. I want to make raptors and horse and mammoths mounted with a laser cannon. Its more than this alone. I want to be able to change proportions. I want to make a bobble head unit, or a mini ice giant unit. Along with this the ones we have should be fixed. I cant ever use the halfling because ever single clothing on it is broken. I also cant use the stiffy some times since the rib cage always seems to poke through most shirts. Really if we cant get more body types i just want the ones we have to get fixed. Better Recoloring This one is just something that would make life easier. I would love if i could use some type of color wheel to get the exact shade of yellow that isn't included in those four yellows they give me. Just being able to adjust hue, saturation, brightness, and RGB would just boost creations to a slightly better level. Along with that i want to be able to recolor everything. The curved sword is a great unique weapons that i would have used on multiple occasions. The only problem is i cant change it at all. You can see what i mean here. Along with that why cant we color things neon or transparent. There are few items with these qualities and they get removed via paint. I really think that if they were to add anything from this guide it should be this. (This should also work for team colors. Instead of having say hue, saturation, and light with regular paints, It would just be light and saturation.) Resizing Weapons Imagine you just thought of a great unit. Something like a tribal giant. You finish the design but when you get to the weaponry you realize your limited. If you want to give it a spear or a boulder to smash units with, Well have fun giving him what would be essentially a toothpick and a pebble. The only real weapons that would work would be, Giant tree, Giant Sword, Giant Punch, And an assortment of grabs and punches. When it comes to making big or small units, Tabs is very limited in an arsenal for them. That's why i think that we should be able to resize weapons. It would be cool to be able to do this the other way around too. I love the model used on the executioner axe, but its way to big for a single handed weapon. I want to be able to make a minigun that's the size of a pistol or make a spear able to fit in with a giant. Custom Abilities The abilities in the UC are all great, just limited. There is no customization of abilities at all. We should be able to alter how the abilities worked. I want to make an octopus unit using the reaper wings. Only problem is they're pitch black and combined with his regular limbs it makes him a decopus? (Whatever you want to call a 10-limbed octopus.) Its not only that but other abilities. I think i have explained enough so ill provide a list of possible edits that can be done to abilities and if possible give an example of how that can be used -Queen pirate bomb spin (Edit what ammo is used) make a unit that just throws bouncy balls around -Sword caster... swords (Edit what ammo is used) Make an earth bender that has spinning floating rocks that it can fire -Reaper wings (Change color) See octopus -Reaper wings (Change amount) See octopus -Valk / Crow wings (Change color) No example -Cannon Barrage Thing (Edit what ammo is used) make it rain FIRE -All charges (Change distance of charge) No Example -All jumps (Change distance of jump) No Example -Monkey jump (Toggle Tail) No Example -Hover (Change Hover Weight) Make an ice skater that floats at ground level -Cactus and Ballooner Grab (Toggle Hand Thing) No Example -All abilities (apply to weapons) Arrows that form into a bunch of witches (Same could work with special weapons becoming abilities) -Pretty much all abilities (Change Fire rate) No Example -Witch spawn (Change what unit spawns) make a general that forms a bunch of soldier next to him <Ideas for new abilities> An earthquake ability Fire breath Weapon throw (makes them throw their weapons) Fly (Like hover but higher) Rework Of Stats The stats system is broken. I'm not gonna act likes it not because it just is. The only thing it does is allow you to change the ammo type of ranged weapons. its a underused feature that could have so much more to it. Here's my proposal. Change the stat system to be about weapons stats. Make it so the units stats don't include attack speed and damage. Let this tab include it. I want to be able to change a weapons stats without affecting the entire unit. Along with that things about the weapons size (I mentioned that in another section) opacity and even location on your unit should be in this tab. Something else would be make a weapon melee, ranged, or a mixture (if target is far; use range|if target is close; use melee.) This would open up the ability to make better units. The ice sword that fires icicles when a units too far away and than acts as a sword when it a certain distance. (There would also have to be a mixed movement option for this to work best.) Conclusion Really i don't know what landfall is planning for this game. I don't know if any of this will get added.I don't know if anybody even agrees with anything i said. What i do know is that this is a great game. And if not all of them i think we can agree at least one of these will make the game better. Let me know what you think and what you want in the UC in the comments. Updates Not really an update, but it seems we won't really be getting anything here. Finally update is done after all. I'm still really happy and TABS will go on as one of my favorite "Mess around" games.
