Now you are going to hunt your first monster chatacabra, when fighting him you will feel the urge to hold Y or Triangle Not M1 because only psychos play this game on MandK, if you are one of these psychos, go buy a controller Now that we are past that, instead of holding Y, you will actually be holding Y AND B, or Triangle AND Circle this is where we will begin step 2 Step 2 Learning the offset we will focus on an offensive defense, aka the parry This is a very foreign concept to those who come from world, and earlier, as the greatsword gameplay loop was draw weapon, hold release and then either dodge or continue combo Now we will instead be drawing our weapon and constantly holding our upswing if it doesnt offset a monster this is fine as itr does around the same damage as a normal charged slash To offset a monster, you must relase an offset slash at the correct time so that you hit the monster when they would hit you this sounds scary, but it is quite easy to do and besides, we're fighting a chatacabra, nothing bad will happen if when you release your attack the screen zooms in and the monster is knocked back, Congratulations: you've successfully offset the monster with this we will be moving on Step 3: Dealing Damage dealing damage after dealing an offset you are now allowed to do a running slash and follow up into a TCS BUT WAIT Do not forget, monsters can still attack, so while doing this powerful attack you must be mindful Step3.5 Dodging and tackling After offsetting a monster you will find yourself able to do big damage with a TCS, but wait! the monster is attacking!!! nevermind ye sweeting, for all you have to do is either hold Y/Tri and then press your b or circle button this will do a tackle, you will negate most damage and be able to continue a new TCS to deal your damage and if the situation is too grim you are able to press A or X to move out the way and live another day(coward) I jest, survival is key to winning, and while you might be a coward now you are still alive and as you are alive you will be able to begin the next step which is essential to winning Step 4: Asserting dominance Power clash An offset is not always possible, you may be out of position or recovering from a previous attack, but nevermind that as you have one final option, a power clash basically it works the same as an offset, except the worst you get for failing is some knockback, chip damage and some sharpness gone otrherwise block at the correct time and bash your Y or triangle button to make this monster fck off if you mash hard enough, you have successfully asserted dominance and can now go to step 5 if you fail oh well try again, sucks to suck ig couldnt be me, and hopefully not you unless youre a failure. Step 5: So, you failed the offset eh? Lets be honest you suck at this and failed multiple offsets now you must restore your health Hold LB or L1 and use your joystick to hover over "optimal healing" this wil let you drink a potion and restore your health, but not the honor to your family for taking damage make sure not to roll or get hit again during this lest you further tarnish your family's honor. Step 6: How to Win FInally we will now begin step 6 Step 6: winning to win is quite simple, repeat steps 1-5 until the monster dies, repeat this process for all 30 monsters and you have successfully won until Aprils title update where you will repeat his process again, Remember it is absolutely IMPERATIVE that at no point do you ever swap to any other weapon type, they are a trap and were made by capcom to filter out losers from real gamers, and youre a real gamer...
