Hey Runners, Even though SnowRunner has been around for a while, we wanted to take the time to update and clarify important information for both new and veteran players. This FAQ gathers the most frequently asked questions and provides clear, up-to-date answers. ✅ Q: What is SnowRunner? SnowRunner is the ultimate off-road simulation experience, featuring incredible snow and mud physics in beautiful and wild environments. Q: On which platforms can I play SnowRunner? SnowRunner is available on Steam, EGS, PS4/PS5, Xbox One & Series X|S and Microsoft Store. It is also available on Nintendo Switch and Mac, with 16 seasons of post-launch content ready for you to enjoy. However, no further updates or DLCs are scheduled, and the Year 5 Pass is not available for purchase on these platforms. Q: Where can I buy SnowRunner? SnowRunner is available here: Steam Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S PS4 and PS5 Nintendo Epic Game Store Q: Is there multiplayer? Yes, SnowRunner supports up to four-player synchronous multiplayer. Q: Is there crossplay? SnowRunner has crossplay! PC (Steam & EGS), Xbox and PlayStation players can play together and join each others’ games seamlessly. However, though multiplayer is still available on Switch and Mac, players on these platforms are only able to play among themselves. Q: Is it possible to transfer game progress from EGS to Steam? Yes you can on SnowRunner, you can find how to do so over here! Q: Does SnowRunner use the same engine as MudRunner? No it’s not the same engine for SnowRunner. Saber ported MudRunner’s terrain simulation into its proprietary Swarm Engine, so it’s a completely different engine, but using the same terrain simulation that makes MudRunner, MudRunner. The engine is also the same as the one used on Expeditions: a MudRunner game. Q: Are there mud maps? Absolutely. Mud is in our blood! SnowRunner features maps with snow and maps with mud. Q: What additional content can I get for SnowRunner? You can get additional content by purchasing our five Year Passes including 20 seasons, in addition to a dozen standalone DLCs offering new trucks, skins and add-ons! Q: Is it possible to test upcoming updates in advance? Before we put out major content updates, we usually make them available through a Public Test Server (PTS) on Epic Games Store, where you can test the upcoming content and provide feedback. Keep in mind that you will likely encounter bugs on the PTS, since it's a testing environment. Q: I just encountered a bug or a crash, where can I find help? If you encounter a bug in SnowRunner, please let us know in our support center and we'll do our best to help you out! Q: Does SnowRunner support mods? Yes, SnowRunner supports mods! You can install mods on PC, through mod.io, and on consoles, via the in-game “Mod Browser” available on the game’s Main Menu.
