A detailed guide on crafting in Divinity: Original Sin 2 Introduction Since the full release of Divinity: Original Sin 2, Larian Studios has given us a plethora of new recipes to work with. Hopefully I will be able to add all of the recipes added since the full release. Potions Potions are a bit tricky right now, since they've updated I've noticed a few things such as Yarrow Flower doesn't turn Minor Healing Potions into Healing Potions anymore, Augmentor does. So they are probably still going to change in the future but who knows. Anyways lets get down to it. Healing PotionsMinor Healing Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Penny Bun Mushroom Medium Healing Potion- Minor Healing Potion + Minor Healing Potion Healing Potion- Medium Healing Potion + Medium Healing Potion Healing Potion- Any Healing Potion + Augmentor Huge Healing Potion- Healing Potion + Healing Potion Healing Elixir- Empty Potion Bottle + Yarrow Flower* Resistance PotionsFire Resistance Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Guepinia Mushroom Water Resistance Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Bluegill Mushroom Earth Resistance Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Earth Tongue Mushroom Air Resistance Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Jellyroom Minor Resist All Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Trumpet of Death Stat PotionsStrength Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Amethyst Deceiver Finesse Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Boletus Intelligence Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Calocera Constitution Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Farhangite Wits Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Puffball Poison PotionsSmall Poison Bottle- Empty Potion Bottle + Fly Agaric Mushroom Medium Poison Bottle- Small Poison Bottle + Small Poison Bottle Large Poison Bottle- Medium Poison Bottle + Medium Poison Bottle Miscellaneous PotionsSmall Magic Armour Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Whisperwood Physical Armour Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Amadouvier Potion of Electric Skin- Empty Potion Bottle + Air Essence Stoneskin Potion- Empty Potion Bottle + Earth Essence Potion of Strong Will- Empty Potion Bottle + Fire Essence Most of these potions can be upgraded by adding two together all the way up to large, or you can use "Augmentor" and it will become a larger version of said potion. Grenades Being a Roguish type build, grenades are the most useful resource to have at your disposal. Sadly if you don't know how to craft them or don't want to, you're gonna have to get a small fortune to buy them from shopkeepers. They are surprisingly cheap to make. I'm going to separate them by the containers used to craft them. GrenadesNailbomb Grenade- Empty Grenade + Nails/Broken Bottle Frost Grenade- Empty Grenade + Water Essence Poison Cloud Grenade- Empty Grenade + Ooze Source(Barrel) FlaskOil Flask- Empty Flask + Oil Source(Barrel) Poison Flask- Empty Flask + Ooze Source(Barrel) CanisterRazzle Dazzle Grenade- Empty Canister + Jellyroom Chemical Warfare Grenade- Empty Canister + Intestines Thunderbolt Grenade- Empty Canister + Air Essence Tremor Grenade- Empty Canister + Earth Essence Terror Grenade- Empty Canister + Tormented Soul MiscellaneousLove Grenade- Empty Perfume Bottle + Pixie Dust Water Baloon- Intestines + Water Source(Barrel)* Arrowheads I understand the pain of trying to be a true physical archer, but sometimes you just gotta dabble in the elemental arrows effects. Imagine catching an enemy off guard with a Knockdown Arrow or setting an enemy ablaze with a Fire Arrow. Anyways I'm not going to list the arrow recipes cause how hard is it? Arrowhead + Arrowshaft = Arrow ArrowheadsRegular Arrowhead- Sharp Piece of Metal + Knife* Stunning Arrowhead- Tooth + Knife Knockdown Arrowhead- Antlers + Knife Slowdown Arrowhead- Arrowhead + Oil Source(Barrel) Water Arrowhead- Arrowhead + Water Source(Barrel) Posioned Arrowhead- Arrowhead + Ooze Source(Barrel) Charming Arrowhead- Arrowhead + Honey Source Explosive Arrow- Fire Arrow + Oil* Armor & Weapons This section will be made mostly from another user's guide, special thanks to Darkus, be sure to check out his guide on almost everything in game. (It's a great in-depth guide on most of the games inner workings) ArmorHandmade Plate Armor- Anvil + Plate Scraps + Any Hammer* Handmade Scale Armor- Anvil + Scale Scraps + Any Hammer* Handmade Chain Armor- Needle and Thread + Metal Scraps* Handmade Leather Armor- Needle and Thread + Leather Scraps* Handmade Cloth Armor- Needle and Thread + Cloth Scraps* Handmade Mage Armor- Needle and Thread + Metal Scraps + Pixie Dust* Boots(Immunity to Slipping)- Any Boots + Nails* Handmade Shield- Wood Chips + Metal Scraps* Unique ArmorArmor of the Eternals- Eternal Artifact + Eternal Plate+ Metal Scraps + Source Orb* Physical WeaponsHandmade Sword- Anvil + Metal Scraps + Any Hammer* Shiv/Shank- Sharp Piece of Metal + Cloth/Leather Scraps Sharp Stone on a Stick- Sharp Rock + Short Branch Sharp Stone on a Big Branch- Sharp Rock + Big Branch Big Tongs Roped Together- Tongs + Cloth/Leather Scraps Primitive Harpoon- Long Branch + Sharp Piece of Metal* Club- Long Branch + Cloth Scraps* Knife on a Stick- Short Stick + Dagger* Magical WeaponsImprovised Wand- Short Stick + Skull Improvised Staff- Long Branch + Shell Runes With the release of the full game, runes have been added. Runes allow either the addition of elemental damage or physical damage to weapons, as well as other basic stats when added to armor or amulets. Down below you will find how to make these runes as well as how to upgrade them. "aelden" provided most of the imformation on runes, you can find him at the bottom of the guide under main contributors. Runes Small Flame Rune- Wood + Oil + Pixie Dust Small Thunder Rune- Water + Gold + Pixie Dust Small Frost Rune- Water + Metal + Pixie Dust Small Earth Rune- Rock + Beer + Pixie Dust Small Venom Rune- Bone + Poison + Pixie Dust Small Masterwork Rune- Livewood Log + Wine + Pixie Dust In order to upgrade a rune, you will need to combine two of the same rune plus pixie dust, the combination should look like this: Small Masterwork Rune + Small Masterwork Rune + Pixie Dust This combination only works up to large runes though, runes higher up such as giant require a higher grade of pixie dust. I do not currently know the name of the pixie dust required, but I do know that it requires the combination of superior stardust and bonedust. Grimoire Okay, now since the full game release this section is probably going to be the largest, so bear with me! Some of the more basic things I won't be adding too much of, but nevertheless I will still add it. I copied most of the Skill Book recipes from x_equals_speed's guide, which you can find the link to down below. ScrollsRain Scroll- Sheet of Paper + Water Essence + Herring Fortify Scroll- Sheet of Paper + Earth Essence + Whisperwood Teleportation Scroll- Sheet of Paper + Air Essence + Feather Ressurection Scroll- Sheet of Paper + Life Essence + Water Essence Skill BooksSkill Book(Depends on Scroll)- Any Scroll + Skill Book Matching The Scrolls Skill Corpse Explosion- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Necromancy Skill Book Bleed Fire- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Polymorph Skill Book Sparking Swings- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Warfare Skill Book Explosive Trap- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Huntsman Skill Book Sabotage- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Scoundrel Skill Book Fire Infusion- Pyrokinetic Skill Book + Summoning Skill Book Vacuum Touch- Aerothurge Skill Book + Necromancy Skill Book Vaporise- Aerothurge Skill Book + Polymorph Skill Book Breathing Bubble- Aerothurge Skill Book + Warfare Skill Book Erratic Wisp- Aerothurge Skill Book + Huntsman Skill Book Smoke Cover- Aerothurge Skill Book + Scoundrel Skill Book Electric Infusion- Aerothurge Skill Book + Summoning Skill Book Blood Rain- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Necromancy Skill Book Healing Tears- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Polymorph Skill Book Cleanse Wounds- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Warfare Skill Book Cyrotherapy- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Huntsman Skill Book Vampiric Hunger- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Scoundrel Skill Book Water Infusion- Hydrosophist Skill Book + Summoning Skill Book Corrosive Spray- Geomancer Skill Book + Necromancy Skill Book Turn to Oil- Geomancer Skill Book + Polymorph Skill Book Oily Carapace- Geomancer Skill Book + Warfare Skill Book Throw Dust- Geomancer Skill Book + Huntsman Skill Book Venom Coating- Geomancer Skill Book + Scoundrel Skill Book Poison Infusion- Geomancer Skill Book + Summoning Skill Book Food Most if not all of this section was contributed by Selicia*. Food may not be the best item to use in combat, but it has its advantages. Mostly when you run out of health potions mid fight, but advantages nonetheless. FoodDinner- Any Raw Meat/Fish + Cooking Station Dinner- Boiling Pot + Egg* Dwarven Stew- Mug of Beer + Dinner Mashed Potatoes- Any Milk + Boiled Potato* Tomato Sauce- Tomato + Hammer Pizza- Tomato Sauce + Dough + Fire* Elven Stew- Tomato Sauce + Dinner Potato Porridge- Milk + Potato Pumpkin Soup- Pumpkin + Cooking Station DrinksApple Juice- Apple + Empty Cup Orange Juice- Orange + Empty Cup Miscellaneous Okay this section is just all the random stuff that didn't have a grand enough quantity among themselves to be worth an entire section. Misc.Lockpicks(4)- Repair Hammer + Nails Lockpicks- Any Key + Soap* Stardust- Stardust Herb + Mortar and Pestle Bonedust- Bone + Mortal and Pestle Pixie Dust- Bonedust + Stardust Long Branch- Any Cutting Tool + Log Arrow Shaft- Any Cutting Tool + Long Branch Arrowhead- Any Cutting Tool + Rocks* Thread- Hair + Hair Wood Pulp- Wood Chips + Water Source(Barrel) Paper- Oven + Wood Pulp And for some reason if you add a weapon of your choice and a poison bottle of any size together, that weapon gains poison damage. I haven't been able to find out what gives other elemental damages yet. Big thanks to UmbraMortis for the tip on flaming weapons: Flaming Weapon- Cooking Method + Weapon + Oil Source Summary If there is anything that you want to add or if you see a mistake just say so in the comments. Also anything that someone (other than myself) contributes will be marked with an asterisk. Since the recent addition of the "Food" section I thought I would start adding major contributors by posting their name and profile link below. If you get added, but don't want your name and/or profile posted let me know. Also, one of the main contributors to this guide's "Armor & Weapons" section, Darkus, has a guide that goes into great detail about the game and it's inner workings such as xp needed to level up, a walkthrough of the currently released content, and even character dissection, you should really give it a good look!
