First of all, I haven't played this game thousands of yours, but just hundreds of hours. So I am not super experienced, however, I still remember how it is to be a complete beginner and remember all those beginner mistakes. So I will cut directly to the point where mistakes start, and they start when beginner players visit red and black zones, before that you are safe to stumble around without consequences. In those zones other players can attack you, in red zones they need to be 'flagged' to do so (cross swords simbol next to the name) ,and in black zones everyone is atomatically flagged. This is a full loot game, so if you die from the hand of another player in red or black zone you lose all equpment you carry and it can be painfull, I myself lost equpment worse millions of silver, however that's not something to worry about it's part of the game. So there will be two sections: "Pieces of advice" and "Mistakes to avoid" Pieces of advice on how to level up fast (some of them will cost you extra money, so choose what works for you at the current moment): 1. If you want to level up fast, choose AOE skills in your weapon so you can hit several mobs with one hit. 2. Go to dungeons to gain fame 2. Buy premium account :) 3. Don't ignore open-world mini-bosses (big mobs with a circle around them, also music changes when you encounter them) they give you a good amount of extra fame, once I got 350.000 fame :o for such a boss in the 6-grade red zone. 3. Use food that increases your damage 4. Buy Satchel of Insight (that's a bag that gives you extra fame but in exchange for extra money), mine gives me 74% extra fame. 5. Buy Dungeon Maps (more loot, fame, and money) 6. Enlist for fraction warfare and don't forget to get flagged, this way just for farming fame you will be getting fraction points which you can exchange for different stuff, and my advice is to get fraction chest (worth 9000 fraction points) in those chest among other stuff you will find Tomes of Insight, which will bring you at least 60,000 extra combat fame. But be careful while being flagged for fractions, players flagged for other fractions can attack you in any zone, however, it doesn't happen very often in my experience. 6. How to get silver... I spend a lot of time trying different stuff, crafting, gathering, farming and all of that doesn't bring you much silver until you get to high level. At some point, I was getting good money (as I thought) by fishing, but then I realized that I get more money by farming 6 level dungeons using master maps. My advice is to try to spend all your money for leveling up faster (buy food, Satchel of Insight, better equipment, Dungeon maps), and when you hit the 6th level of your gear see if you getting enough money with just farming fame. And only after that switch to fishing, gathering, and so on if you don't get enough silver. Don't get me wrong gathering and trading mechanics are very good in this game, so it worse learning how it works, however, the main point of any MMORPG for me is PVP, so to get faster to PVP you better spend more time by farming combat fame. 7. If you are selling expansive gear on the market before selling it right away always check the price for which other people are selling it, the "sell" price can be several times bigger than the "buy" price, so make a sell order. It automatically will be sold later and you earn twice or three times more. Mistakes to avoid: 1. Don't go black zones before getting used to red zones. 2. While in the red zone, always check who is around you... If you see 'flagged' players stay away from them. If you see players with a bad reputation (Skull and crossbones next to the name) stay away from them. It may sound like extra caution, but believe me, there are so many scammers who are waiting for noobs that it's better to be extra careful at least for a while. 3. When you enter the dungeon in a red or black zone wait 90 seconds inside near the entrance, after 90 seconds the dungeon will be closed from the outside and nobody could enter. If somebody enters before that, especially bad reputation or flagged players, don't take risks, get out and go to another dungeon. 4. When traveling in red and black zones think twice before accepting party invites from random players they could be just trying to figure out your location by doing so, most of the methods they use are easily recognizable, you will learn fast how to recognize them, however, it's better to learn by others mistakes and not by your own mistakes :) 5. While travaling in red and black zones don't travel by road but choose the pass offroad, so you have fewer chances to be ambushed. 6. Avoid traveling on foot, your mount is your main way to escape danger. 7. Consider investing in stronger mounts with more health, it often can save you. However, you should choose depending on your current situation between a cheaper mount you don't warry to lose or a more expensive mount which can save you. 8. Consider investing in Bloodlitter and Mistcaller (bloodliter has two very good mobility skills for escaping and mistcaller will decrease cooldown), actually I would even say that it's nessesary things for safe travaling. 7. When gathering always gets to resource by the mount. Stay next to the mount while gathering and you even can keep your mouse pointer over the mount while gathering, so you get on it faster in case of danger. If you see flagged players get on your mount and get away and forget about recorses, don't take the riscks. And some wisdom instead of conclusion: Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn, but you never lose, stay positive :)
