Newer version of an inheritance run setup for an extreme run with the latest dlc, includes a minor discussion on the legacies Just a heads up The game is generally good, and extreme runs are mainly for fun... saying that certain fights/bosses get INSANE bonuses in extreme mode. choosing how to spend your inheritance points can be the difference between the best endings and just barely scraping by. for the record i believe the game is somewhat manageable without having a perfect setup, just choose to do a few of any of these and you should be good to go? Legacies Legacies - choose what you want, they are 30-60k a piece (you have to have beat the game already to earn them. There are at least 3 discussion pages that explain how to earn them) Jade Dragon gives a full set of equipment and has 3 of the overpowered skills that the final boss has. You get 1 impossibly powerful unique polearm skill, and 2 red cultivation manuals that are on par with the best cultivation manuals in the game. aka you will keep them equipped the entire game. That leaves 1 slot for wind cloud method, and 1 slot for whatever you want. You wont need to pick a martial arts manual for inheritance, once you join wudang you should be able to target and get muscle changing scripture from the shaolin monks pretty easily without spending points. You can safely earn everything you will need until southern dlc just with the jade dragon legacy, and I feel like the other legacies are similarly strong. other legacys fill similar roles, their cost comes with amazing benefits Tiashian fist + sword legacies come with very strong skills and a MASSIVE aoe unique skill. You wont need to change out your combat skills for most of the game, but you dont get any cultivation manuals from these 2. I would recommend maybe grabbing a evergreen vitality cultivation to combo with these? Tianji palace legacy comes with high damage skills that I dislike massively. I don't know how good the cultivation manuals are either, but they are red mythic. I'm assuming they are high damage concept. Bodhidharma comes with 3 very powerful items, including the super saber (omniscient conciousness) and both pretty much invincible 1v1 manuals, the red unique and red cultivation manual. Mara feels very similar to bodhidharma in intent except for fist techniques. Snowlock will essentially make you like bai Weiyi, and all his bullcrap glory, comes with 2 items and 2 overpowered cultivation manuals Team Manual reccomendations Lightness Skills- Ghostly Shadow and Swan Step manuals - both don't get found in the story till 40% point? You can skip if you want, but the bonus +1 MOV and gap closer is nice for QOL early. They cost 8k and 4k a piece. Cultivation Manuals- Supreme Blaze and Light Cultivation manual - 12k and 4k Supreme isnt earned until the last 5% of the game and its a red mythic manual that increases str and has a massive damage range that also makes the user immune to frost, which would help during the southern chronicles dlc The light cultivation manual is very subjective. I dont think its that far into the game that you earn it? qol 4k, but it combos with blazing well. Once you get into the game get to the precipice and get the yoga sutras manual pretty quickly, followed by getting the golden cocoon from the shaolin monks once you join wudang. That should give your companions 4 cultivation manuals they will be using for the first half of the game. I had a ton of achievement points so i decided to grab 2 polearm manuals, shaolin pole arm vedas pole arm is a special manual and acalas staff is a mighty move. -4k and 8k This helps fill out your combat bar, and boosts staff combat at the start of the game, for staff boy or if you went green dragon I took all 3 available bodhidharma saber moves, normal special and mighty - 8k +4k +4k These manuals will severally boost your saber users. Including du zhui and sima for southern chronicles teammate fights. Their effects are amazing. I'm not sure if they will help shut down southern dlc heal enough, but im willing to bet they will help in general. I took the bodhidharma swordplay manual for 8k. It gives a long range unique sword attack that heals allies. This is just in general a good skill that should help with swordswomen fights in the southern dlc. The team heal and debuff removal is very nice. It otherwise wouldn't be obtained until the final 20% of the game. I took ensnaring nails from hidden weapons for 4k Its a massive aoe and good damage mighty move for hidden weapon users. Its earned like 50% way though the game. It doesnt make much difference except be a nice QOL upgrade. Blueprints - HARD skip for the most part Don't waste ANY inheritance points on equipment blueprints, they are still limited to class 3, which you get easily from sparring or story rewards. I took class 3 spagirism for 13k points. Its probably a waste, but I somehow kept missing a recipe or 2 in my runs. This is a just me problem. Items I would recommend a class 1 weapon. One for preferred weapon / class / skillset, or at least for sword. Having a Class 1 sword empowers the first green swordswoman girl early, and it gives you something to make allies with people who like weapons. If you are going a legacy that doesn't give you armor, I would recommend getting a class 3 or better armor. It will significantly help early. Don't waste anything on Life Skill Mastery Dont waste a single point on life skill mastery. Especially with the new quirk system. They are so easily farmed now, and can cost zero gold if you pick the right quirk. Attribute Points 10k martial points for 3k inheritance points is a nice nest egg, and you get a few thousand more from the Dev thank you chest. Meridian points are widely seen as amazing, and especially with the new +attribute function. 3k meridian points for 9k is a great deal. Get the penetration skill that gives 15% chance to double attack, then boost your Con. I took 5k meridian points for a total of 15k inheritance points. Left overs as well as none of this was actually mandatory I still had spare inheritance points and just put them whatever. I feel like this setup is pretty good? If i was going fist again, I obviously would have bought some martial arts or manuals for it. Saying that, they are also easily earned throughout the first half of the game. Starting with one of the vajra fist moves for single hit immortality is a great idea for the start of the game. Perpetual sanctum fist skills add great debuffs, but dont work on the stronger story bosses. (almost all story bosses get qi per hit, and most perpetual skills are multihit low damage) This entire guide is just a slight suggestion. I was able to beat the extreme version of the latest expansion from my old save file from the southern DLC. aka all the new skills manuals and legacies are not needed to win on extreme, and the achievements inheritance points are completely "unneeded". If I can beat extreme somewhat perfectly with around 92k inheritance points, most players who should have 150k+ inheritance points from achievements and such are going to have so many points to choose whatever the heck they want. I wish all you players a nice fun challenging experience.
