This is a text-only guide explaining how to complete challenges and achievements on the Hantu Port map, for the sniper mission "The pen and the sword". Introduction This guide is text-only and describes what you have to do to complete challenges and achievements on this map. For collectibles, I will share a link to an image showing where those are. In case a challenge description is not enough, I suggest to use a video, but you can also let me know so I can add informations to make it easier. The guide will cover the Hitman in-game challenges as well as the steam achievements. Assassination challenges DeadweightEliminate the three main targets with the cargo crane. The main targets have a special meeting point right below the crane. Here is the easiest way I found to make them meet together: I moved the container on a crate to the right, then did nothing until Dragon eye put the hostages within a container. When he is about to descend the last stairs (leaving the ship), I shoot the antenna on the building Spider Lily is in, and start shooting the ship horn. I trigger the horn about three times. This should bring the targets together (with a wrong timing, they can get bored and leave the meeting point). Then I dropped the container; they are not on the far right of its reach though, so use the numbers on the ground to match the one on the crane: it should be the 11. The crane position is indicated by the light on the number, so you don't need to guess perspective. Burning on the dock of the bayEliminate three targets with the same explosion. Since guards count, you have many ways to achieve it. One of those is with a container filled with explosive next to the containers where the hostages are at the beginning, you can open it and shoot it at the right time. Death raftEliminate two main targets with the same life raft. Before Dragon eye escorts the hostages on the ship, he will meet with Spider Lily in front of the stairs leading to the ship. You can then shoot the life raft above them. LandlubberEliminate a target with the car lift. When the blade goes to his office, lure him below the car lift before he goes up. You can shoot on the ground to lure him (usually, the closest target is the one going to investigate the sound). Then shoot the car lift control panel on the side. Rock the boatEliminate all bodyguards after starting the evacuation. Trigger the alarm before killing any of the guards. Try to focus on the ones escaping first, and remember you have different kind of bullets: penetrative ones to hit behind any amount of wall, and explosive ones to make an easy kill. This one is easier than on Himmelstein. Unlimited Power!Eliminate three targets by electrocution. There aren't that many possibility of electrocution on the map, you will have to use the electrical outlets on the ground where there is water; here is the strategy I used, takes about 1 minute from the mission start: My goal is to do 2 electrocutions on the left part of the harbor and one in the center. Once the mission start, I shoot the water barrel on the left near the water. Then I wait for a bit, and act when the guard next to the building where Lily does a phone call later. I shoot the outlet in the crossroad between the hostage location, the above mentioned building and the ship; then I focus on the left part where I use the previously shot barrel with the outlet, and a closer outlet already in a pond of water, when guards are passing by. If needed, you can still lure them by shooting the ground, as long as they are not suspicious. Don't let the boom gate hit you...Eliminate Captain Re Thak with the boom gate. When leaving the harbor, she will pass by the boom gate; shoot it at the right time to activate it (you can try it with no one next to it to get the timing). Kissing the gunner's daughterEliminate and hide a target with a cannon. One of the containers on the lowest part of the map has a cannon within it. Firing at it will trigger it (only once). If a guard is right in front of the cannon it will kill him; however his body won't necessarily be hidden. Fortunately, this is a challenge you can try in the first seconds of the mission: open the container, wait for the guard to investigate, turn back and prepare to move, and shoot it. If correctly timed, the guard's body will be pushed in the nearby hole. Dead man can tell no talesEliminate and hide all main targets. You only have to hide the three main targets bodies. An easy place to hide Dragon eye's body would be to shoot him when he climbs on the boat or leaves it. Spider Lily goes by a lot of hiding places, containers or trash piles; you can lure her in front of one of those and then lure the guards away. The blade was the hardest for me, but since you can use bullets to lure targets without a limit, it shouldn't be very difficult. Skeleton crewEliminate and hide all bodyguards. Among the places where you can hide bodies are piles of trash, the water, some of the containers. In the garage, you can hide bodies in the containers inside (the guard on the roof going through the skylight). You can also use the doors for truck loading: shooting the button will open the door for a short time; if the body is not pushed in time you can still reopen the door and shoot on the body. Try to ensure nobody is too close or watching your victim to not end up the mission early. Abandon Ship!Eliminate the three main targets while they are escaping. Trigger the alarm before killing the main targets. Watch out for the blade that will try to kill the hostages, and Dragon Eye that can escape very quickly if he is on the boat. Davy Jones lockerEliminate and hide five targets in water. This shouldn't be a problem. Shoot the targets in front of the water on the docks or on the boat. If needed you still have explosive bullets to cheat a little and move bodies in an other direction. SkullcrackerEliminate all the targets with headshot. You might want to do this challenge along with "skeleton crew" and "Dead man can tell no tales", hiding all the targets. You can always shoot somewhere to make a target stop if you can't get them when moving. It's certainly easier without the alarm. Feats challenges Between the devil...Interrupt Colonel Jim Noo while he is in his office. Once Jim Noo is in his office, you have to lure him outside by triggering the ship horn. Look at the funnel/chimney of the ship, there is a speaker you have to shoot (you don't see it entirely). You might need to do it a few times, spaced with about 5 seconds. In the spider's webFind a way to make Captain Re Thak escort the hostages to their final destination. Dragon eye is normally the one escorting the hostages on the ship, so find a way to kill him before Spider Lilly (Re Thak) leads them to the boat. Then you have to wait for her to escort them to the container. Seagulls sing your hearts away.Hit five flying seagulls. Nothing really hard. If needed, take a look at that map for seagulls. No more happy hourDenied someone's chance to drink beer. Next to the car elevator in the garage, there is a beer bottle you have to shoot. Clean bill of healthComplete the mission without the hostages being moved. Keep Spider Lily from moving the hostages. You can kill the three targets right from the start. ...and the deep blue seaInterupt Colonel Re Thak while she is in her office. She will try to make a phone call, you can simply shoot the antenna to make her leave. Electric feelShoot six electrical wires. Electrical wires are all on the ground, some of them within pond of water electrocuting people. Just shoot 6 of those. Ghost shipShoot all the lights on the side and on the top of the cargo ship. There are only 7 of them. From here to eternityGet the crane moving. The blue crane in the middle of the level has an electrical box on its side. Shoot to open it, you can then fire on the buttons to move the container left or right. On the waterfrontREDACTED There is a container in the background you have to open. Behind the garage, look for the next blue crate; below are a few containers you can open by shooting the lock. Quack on the triggerFind all the rubber ducks. A challenge for shooting collectibles. You can use this cool map. Codename craneREDACTED You have to move the crate (challenge "From here to eternity") and make it stomp the ground when it is below number 4, then 7. The number is indicated by the light! Codename craneOpen five containers. The containers with locks can be opened. Rat o'nine tailsExterminate all the rats. Shoot the rats! Steam achievements Save The PoetComplete The Pen and the Sword in Single Player. Double TroubleComplete The Pen and the Sword in Multiplayer. No FloatingShoot all buoys in the water. A collectible achievement. You can use this map. Forklift TaggingShoot and hit the forklift driving around in the far section of the harbor. There are forklifts roaming on some other areas of the harbor, left or right. They can come a bit randomly, it's probably easier to shoot one on the left since it is far closer to you. HawkeyeComplete The Pen and the Sword as Silent Assassin. You can earn it when doing a challenge like hiding every bodies. A target noticing a body, even without triggering the alarm, void the SA. Note that there is a bug on this map that can prevent you from earning that achievement. It didn't pop when I was killing Spider Lily last, so I ended up changing my strategy and finishing with a guard; but I don't exactly know where the bug is. Seven FiguresGet a score above 1,000,000 points on The Pen and the Sword. Keep in mind that your score multiplier can reach *3.0 with all the challenges. With such a multiplier, you should be sure to gain this when doing a Silent Assassin run. Pure PoetryComplete all The Pen and the Sword Challenges. Notes I didn't find a proper written guide for the Hantu map, so this is why I created one. There are still videos for this (notably from Mr Freeze), but I prefer written guides. I made the choice to keep it really simple and without pictures; I decided to focus on what would have been the most useful to me instead of making an ultimate-guide taking a lot of my time, but surely screenshots within spoiler tag wouldn't be bad.
