some people might be stumped on what to do for the early game, so im here to try to explain it, and some tips for beginners. world creation before we even start, i should tell you some about world creation: it affects the world and how difficult it is. i recommend turning off raid spawns, hunger and survival mode because you probably just got started playing this game if you're looking at this guide. also, i recommend not going any further than classic mode for the difficulty. i recommend adventure, so the game isn't too easy, while it isn't too hard. or casual, if you want to. i dont really judge. chapter 1: lets get started at the start of the game, you are basically some guy or girl equipped with an axe, sword and crafting book. you must also have took a vacation with your grandpa because he's there too, hanging out in his little shack. the first thing i recommend doing is chopping some trees, getting used to the controls and editing them to your taste, and taking your (or grandpas) leather dasher 14's, which are located inside the house on a display. equip them in your trinket ability slot, and you can now press shift to move faster. it has a cooldown, though, so only run when you need to, or when you aren't in danger. after the great leather dasher 14 equipping, you should go explore the island. There are many things, from trees, to weird fire flowers, to cows and sheep. you may also find some chests. these have some tasty loot hiding inside of them, so its probably best to try and loot a chest when you see one. now that we have some cool leather dashers, and maybe some more cool loot, you should next craft a pickaxe. because guess what were about to do? That's right, its time to go mining! chapter 2: mining spree in the caves, our main priority should be to get as many ores you can find, and also look for some other loot, which can be trinkets, enchantment scrolls, bombs, or anything you find in a chest in a weird-looking shack that potentially has a dead body in there. unfortunately, pretty much every cave in this game has a buc-ees worth of dead people, crawling dead people, dead people that shoot arrows, you get the point. caves are a bit dangerous because of them. luckily, you spawn with a stick made of wood. Unfortunately, this stick has been through boot camp, and it has to potential to kill your enemies. literally. you can also make a spear, or a boomerang if you feel like a sword isn't cutting it. Anyway, back to mining ores. use your pickaxe to mine stone and the ores. heres the ores you can find in forest caves (the one we are in right now): copper iron and gold. copper can be identified if a stone has brown-red splotches on itself. iron can be identified if a stone has light brown cuts on it. lastly, gold can be identified if a stone has yellow dots on it. I'm not sure what else to recommend for ore mining, but here are a few tips: -you may find cavelings, which have decided to take away your ore privileges. if you manage to kill one, your ore privileges will be revoked, and will receive a hefty amount of gold (or a hefty amount of the best ore in the said cave) -you may run into a spider nest, which are pretty dangerous. why? because giant man-eating spiders come out of there to steal your life force! to prevent this, craft some stone or wood walls, and then make a wall separating you from the spiders, just like trumps border wall. if you're feeling tough, though, you can kill the spiders for a change. however, doing so may result in YOU dead. chapter 3: like a boss now that you (probably) got some ores, its time to start preparing for your first boss, also known as evils protector. you can summon him by using a mysterious portal. only do that after you set up your gear, though. there are 4 classes in this game, melee, ranger, mage, and summoner. i will give you some options for all 4 of the classes: -MELEE- gold armor as the armor (not the one with the crown as the head peice) iron greatsword as the weapon -RANGER- gold armor as the armor (not the one with the crown as the head peice) gold great bow as the weapon -MAGE- cloth armor as armor (you can get the ingredients from killing/shearing sheep.) sparkler as the weapon venom staff as the other option for the weapon (you can get the ingredients from killing cave spiders.) (i have never played as a mage before, so forgive me if you have a hard time with the mage) -SUMMONER- spider armor as armor (you can get the ingredients from killing cave spiders.) gold armor as the other option for armor (the one with the crown as the head peice) spider staff as the weapon (you can get the ingredients from killing cave spiders.) spider boomerang as the secondary weapon you can get the mysterious portal by finding it in chests, or killing cave mobs. now that you have some good gear for killing the evils protector, lets talk about him and how to dodge his attacks. first of all, his main attack is breathing fire at you. it can either be a burst of 3, or a voley around him. the fire also spreads out as it travels, so you might be able to fit into a gap to prevent being hurt by the fire. his next attack is flying up and then breathing fire at you from above. simply just try to avoid the red circles that indicate where the fire breath is going to go. his final attack is returning down to the ground. if you see a shadow of him, and you're near it, GET AWAY FROM IT! Sorry, didnt mean to startle you. really though, this attack does 50 damage, so you're much better dodging it for the sake of your hp. because if you have no hp, then you cant fight anymore. the end.
