A quick insight on the roles of Innocent and Infected. Index Innocent Infected Common mistakes made by new players Innocent - As an innocent, first thing you need to know is STAY TOGETHER. When the round starts, quickly gather antidote(most important), ammo, traps, camera and etc. Before the blackout comes, you must regroup with other innocents. It is easy to survive, if you have all innocents together covering each other. Players that stray away from the group, are very likely to be infected trying to drink blood. - When it is the blackout period, you should run according to the timer, every 5 seconds the infected can see an outline on players that are running. You can walk and the infected won't see an outline on you. But if you want to run during the blackout period, watch the timer, and make sure every 5 seconds you are not running. For example: Timer says 79..78..77.., you can run, once it reaches 75 you need to not be running or the infected will see an outline of you. Even when its not blackout period, you can run according to the timer as well, it will make things more difficult for the infected since they can't see your position. -If you have the antidote, hide when the blackout comes, and get ready to save an innocent You should be with the other innocent, and they should protect you, because you can save them. But if you are alone, hide. Let your teammates go get the fuses, if they get attacked by a terror, you can go antidote them. This way, you will also know the player you saved is innocent. Not being with the group, means that instead of being able to antidote others right away, you might have to run to go antidote others and run the risk of the infected guarding the body and down / kill you. In this case, sometimes its better to ask other players to go with you to provide cover. - Hiding and watching over blood bags, is a good way to find out the infected. Be aware, sometimes the infected players are going to get a blood bag, but they find you hiding in a corner and they pretend they weren't out for blood. - When it is time to change to the next area before your temperature/oxygen drops You need to move quickly to the new location, because instead of staying back to drink a little blood, the infected players can do the opposite and try to be the first ones to arrive. If an infected player arrives on the new location first, and the innocents are not there to see, the infected player can steal/destroy the antidote and drink blood. -When you are going to the escape door on the last location When you are on the last location, after placing the fuse, the innocents will be shown a yellow icon that shows the location of the escape door. The infected don't know the location of the escape door, until somebody opens the door. You can ask somebody "how many metres is the door away from us?" if the door is 10 metres away from you and the other person says 20, you know the person is infected and made up a number. (Tip given by "Bjork") Infected - As an infected player, first thing you need to know is WORK TOGETHER with the other infected. First thing the infected must do is find out where the antidote is. Try to take the antidote so the innocent can't use it If an innocent has it, tell your infected friend who has it. If you and your infected friend didn't see who took it, you can try to narrow down the possible chances, by saying player X was near me when antidote was taken so I know X doesn't have it. Get kills by voting somebody out. When you have moved to the last location, the necessary amount of votes is 2. You can simply go together with your infected friend, and shoot down innocents to vote them out. No need to drink blood and wait for blackout to transform. Help each other get the shotgun, scanner and lethal. Try to frame innocents together. Just be careful to not try too hard to frame others, or it will be obvious you're trying to frame. - When you want to kill somebody as a terror, try to kill the person with the antidote first. If you don't know who has the antidote, or you kill somebody who doesn't have the antidote, you need to watch out for approaching players, it could be somebody with an antidote. The innocents have 20 seconds to save the person who got attacked by the terror, so you should try to stall them if they're coming to save the innocent. (Added after "Bjork" suggested to kill first innocents with antidote/camera) - Prevent the innocents from placing fuses on the fusebox. As an infected player, if you take a fuse, then its one less fuse for the innocents to find. Also, if you have a fuse you will see which fuse boxes are available to put fuses in, therefore you will know which fuse box to guard, and you can kill any innocents that try to reach it. Most of the times, only the last fuse box should be defended. If your infected friend doesn't know where the fuse box is because they don't have a fuse, just tell them to come to your location because you're guarding the last fuse box. Take in consideration how many innocents are still alive and the time left to become enraged, sometimes it might not be worth revealing yourself to the innocents by guarding the fuse box. Be careful, if an innocent sees you picking a fuse and you don't go put it in the box, they will call you out as an infected. - Take items from the innocent so they can't use it on you. You can disable the switches, but if there's too many innocents around you, you need to pretend you're an innocent who's doing the objectives. You can take the shotgun, camera, traps etc.. Especially the antidote, you need to steal the antidote or find out who has it. - How to drink blood without getting caught Always take a look around to see if anybody is hiding and watching the bags. Wait until there's only 15-20 secs left to blackout, in this way if you get caught, you can run away and avoid getting voted out. - If you want to kill somebody, you can shoot them down and then transform into a terror, and kill them while they are down. If the player has traps around him, you can shoot him down, disable traps, and then transform to kill him while he's down. If the player has a camera and can flash you, again you can shoot him down then transform to kill while he's down. If the innocents are opening the escape door, you can down them before killing them, to prevent the rest from escaping while you're busy killing one. Common mistakes made by new players Common mistakes made by new players: You can "down" another player by shooting / knifing them, but you can't "kill" them like that Other players must inflict damage on a player that is down, to cast a vote to eliminate that player. On the first round, it requires 4 votes. Second round is 3 votes. Third round is 2 votes. Stealing items from each other is normal, you don't know who's innocent or infected. The infected players will try to steal antidote from the innocents, but the innocents will try to steal antidote from everybody because they don't know if the other is infected or not. Infected players will try to frame others. If somebody that is not proven innocent accuses somebody else, then you need to think before voting others out. Infected players can take the scanner, then scan an innocent and claim they're infected. Infected players can drink blood, and if they see an innocent approaching, before the innocent calls them out, they start saying that innocent person drank blood. Guessing that a certain player is infected. If you have suspicions on a certain player, you can say you suspect them but don't say you know for sure when you don't. So many times innocents have voted each other out, because one innocent took a guess it was another innocent, and the infected were there to help voting the innocent out.
