How the sale chance work The key aspect of selling is the chance that your item will be purchased. It can be roughly described as follows: the more expensive the item is compared to the maximum price for that type of item, the lower the chance of it being sold. Every 30 seconds, a random item you have listed for sale is checked, and it may be sold according to the chance calculated by the formula below. This means that patience and consistent listing can help you sell items over time, even if the chance for each individual item is not very high. The formula looks approximately like this: Chance of sale ≈ 1 − (item price ÷ maximum price) To sell an item for the highest realistically possible price, you should set its price one unit below the maximum price. Setting the price at the exact maximum results in a zero sale chance, meaning the item will never be sold. By pricing it just slightly lower, you keep the chance above zero while still earning nearly the maximum profit. Example: Let’s say we are selling a piston, and its maximum price is 10. If we set the price to 15, the formula becomes: 1 − (15 ÷ 10) = -0.5 This results in a negative chance (-50%), which means the item will never be sold. If we set the price to 9, the calculation is: 1 − (9 ÷ 10) = 0.1 This gives a 10% chance that the item will be sold. If we set the price to 1, the result is: 1 − (1 ÷ 10) = 0.9 This means a 90% chance of the item being sold. This example shows how strongly the sale chance depends on the chosen price and whether the item exists in the internal price list. Maximum prices of items This list was extracted directly from the game’s internal price table used by the Flea Market. However, there is a small naming inconsistency between the list and some in-game item names. The Flea Market compares items using their internal item names. If an item’s name does not exactly match an entry in the price list, it is treated as an unlisted item. Examples of name differences: The list contains radio, but the actual item name in the game is car radio. The list contains gearbox, but in the game there are multiple gearbox variants: automatic gearbox 3spd, manual gearbox 4spd, manual gearbox 5spd. The list contains shock absorber front and shock absorber rear, but the actual item names are: front shock absorber and rear shock absorber. Because of these name differences, such items are not matched against the main price list. As a result, the Flea Market handles them using an alternative selling calculation instead of the standard one, so be careful when pricing these items. When an item is not listed, the game does not use the standard maximum-price formula. Instead, a separate fallback formula is applied: Chance of sale ≈ 1 − (item price ÷ 5.01) This means that unlisted items can still be sold, but only at very low prices. Any price close to or above 5 marks results in a zero or negative sale chance, meaning the item will never be sold. In practice, the highest reasonable price for unlisted items is 4 marks, which gives roughly a 20% chance of sale. Prices lower than that increase the chance, while higher prices make a sale impossible. End Thank you for reading! I hope this guide helps you sell items on the Flea Market more quickly and effectively. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. This guide will also be updated with new information over time.
