We've made some very significant balancing changes and overhauls to the following systems: Apron Difficulties Ingredient Unlocks Ingredient Rarities Tutorial and New Player Experience Plus tons of bug fixes and balancing adjustments. For full details check out the Patch Notes below. Lastly, Principal Clucker has decreed this will be the final content update of Early Access. But fear not, we have a lot more planned for Omelet You Cook! In the near future we'll announce our 1.0 release date! The forthcoming 1.0 update will focus on the introduction of Black Apron, as well as how you'll earn it - by finally confronting Principal Clucker himself. Hjalte and I have been working incredibly hard throughout Early Access and especially now to make Omelet You Cook the best version of itself. I know there's still some bug fixes, quality of life, and major features that you chefs want and we intend to give you. 1.0 will not be the end of Omelet You Cook's development. We love working on it and we're very excited to give it a proper 1.0 release and to provide some closure to Principal Clucker's story. Thank you to all the chefs who've played, gave feedback, reported bugs, and left positive reviews. If you have any feedback at all (especially on the balancing of the updated aprons), now is the best time to let us know either on Steam or in our Discord! As always we'll take everything into consideration. Bigger features like a random/draft pantry and being able to play previous Weekly runs will come sometime post-1.0. We should also mention that anyone with the Red Apron Certified role in our Discord will be converted to a role signifying their support during Early Access, so if you haven't claimed yours yet go get certified: Get the role on Discord Thanks for cooking with us, chefs. Enjoy the Seafood! -Chef Schu v0.9.33 Patch NotesContent 12 new Seafood Ingredients 4 of which are new variants of WigglyMusic Added new music to certain customer traits Each customer trait (aside from 3 that'll come with 1.0) now has unique music Hovering Customers in the Catalogue plays their musicArt New Seafood Crate art Swapped position of Tin Can Trasher and Scoochie Special cuz it has no Mythic + usually unlocked firstText Reworked Principal Clucker quotes to be more variable, praise you on Endless defeat Renamed Seaweed to Nori Reworded Mr Kisser to say "can't lose pts AND Mult" for clarityBalance Reworked Aprons Yellow now has a Helper limit Blue now no longer provides free trashing (tho you can still pay $1 and get $1) Red now only gives you a max of 1 Dispense from each shop These changes are an attempt to make the difficulties a bit more distinct and make the game more difficult aside from just making numbers bigger. The 1 Dispense limit is something we may reserve for Black Apron instead, but we wanted to test it before Black Apron. So please let us know how you feel about it! Overhauled ingredient unlock system 82 out of 140 ingredients begin locked The main purpose of this overhaul was to ensure new chefs don't get presented with overly complex ingredients As such, you may need to unlock ingredients you previously could use Overhauled ingredient rarities I won't go over every change but generally we wanted a more balanced distribution: Common: 30 (previously 19) Uncommon: 48 (previously 47) Rare: 42 (previously 49) Legendary: 23 (previously 25) Wiggly ingredients can now become Haunted as well Sticky ingredients now prevent Wiggly ingredients from triggering Tweaked tutorial structure Added Wiggly tutorial + changed Wiggly Catalogue tip Helper Buffs Secret Seasoning: 30% chance to Moldy (instead of 40%) Ingredient Reworks Pepper Jack: added Spicy tag Fishbone: changed Processed to Raw tag Cauliflower: changed to +4 pts per Meat touching, -6 pts per Veggie touching Chicken Leg: changed to +1 pts per Meat on omelet, -1 pts per Veggie on omelet also 2 per crate (instead of 1) Corn: changed to +2 pts per Raw pointed at Chocolate Cake: changed to +2 pts per Sweet pointed at Pumpkin Pie: changed to +2 pts per Baked pointed at Corn Dog: changed to +3 pts per Root/Veggie pointed at (instead of Root/Meat) Ingredient Buffs Steak: added +2 pts to each Root touching Glazed Ham: added +2 pts to each Fruit touching Both of the above changes should make these large Meats better in more situations Turkey: +4 pts per Root touching (instead of +3) Grape: +6 pts (instead of +5) Stix: +5 pts (instead of +4) Sausage: +3 pts per Veggie touching (instead of +2) Cheese Wheel: +0.3x to touching ingredients (instead of +0.2x) Ingredient Nerfs Parmesan: +0.2x to each ingredient pointed at (instead of +0.3x) This has been an auto-pick ingredient so we wanted to reduce the power level slightly Carrot: changed to +$0.25 per distinct ingredient pointed at Green Onion: changed to +$0.25 per distinct ingredient touching this These Roots have vastly outclassed others and are universally good. Again, we wanted to nerf them a tad to increase the comparative value of others Garlic: changed to +$0.25 per 2 distinct ingredients on omelet (instead of per 1) With the changes to Carrot/Green Onion, old Garlic would've been better in all situations so it also needed to be adjusted In general we wanted to make it a little harder to earn tons of money each round. All of these nerfs impact ingredients that are good in every build to hopefully encourage chefs to take ingredients with more specific requirements so builds end up feeling more diverse.Bug Fixes Hopefully fixed bug where shop wouldn't reset sometimes Please send your Player.log and screenshot if it happens, I've been unable to reproduce this Fixed bug where ingredients could spontaneously lose/gain tags if they were a clone Fixed bug where Endless scores could be submitted to non-Endless leaderboards Fixed bug where Sir Pecks-a-Lot lost his top hat drip Fixed bug where Customer Catalogue could have translated strings when it shouldn't Fixed bug where scroll wheel didn't work in Catalogue Fixed bug where sometimes Aprons didn't unlock when they should Fixed bug where ingredients could escape from trash conveyor belt through clever exploitation Shoutout to the chef in our Discord who pointed this out yesterday Fixed bug where Wiggly ingredients could keep wiggling on saved omelets
