You want to get everything from the game? This guide will help you identify all the missable and assist you into getting everything during your playthrough. Spreadsheet This has been a long journey, playing, testing and compiling information about the game. I've worked for over 1 year of my spare time on this spreadsheet to pinpoint everything that is missable in the game. I hope you enjoy what you're getting here. So basically if you're new to the Octopath Traveler franchise, the first game had a few achievements that weren't easy to get because of the lack of quality of life feature in the game like a bestiary. The most notorious in my opinion was the "Strategist" achievement which required you to reveal all enemies weakness in the game. Other notorious one was the "Treasure Hunter" which required you to get every chest in the game, miss one chest somewhere and try to figure out what you're missing in the end game... In my opinion, those achievements were great and fun to complete for anyone like myself who likes to get everything from a game so it's a real shame those achievements aren't coming back in Octopath Traveler 2. This time around people won't be banging their head into a wall for missing anything, and not able to complete their achievements. However in the spirit of the first game if you'd still like to do a "Perfect Run", here again I'll provide to you a spreadsheet which will detail everything you can get so in the end you revealed all weaknesses, get every treasure chest, hidden items and don't miss any missable. Make yourself a copy of the document, cause people can't all work on the same sheet. To do that access the "File" menu and select "Make a copy" and you'll be able to edit anything you want. There's still a few things in there missing updates, however at this point I'm not willing to spend anymore significant amount of time on this one. Missable Again in Octopath Traveler 2, there's quite a few missable. All of them will be easy to identify using the spreadsheet however there are 2 enemies you could still easily miss if you didn't cover the area yet and already got 5 traveler companion. Basically, the areas around the starting town of each characters start at level 5 and they increase at level 8 once you have 3 party members and level 11 when you get your 5th character (full group +1). This means you'll get different sets of enemies depending on the area's level. Unfortunately 2 enemies doesn't appears anymore once the area reach level 11. For those 2, make sure you get their weakness before acquiring your 5th character. Theses 2 enemies appears at level 5 and 8, but disappear forever at level 11. Snow Marmot in the Winterland Desert Ape I in Hinoeuma (if you missed this one but haven't started Hikari chapter 1 yet, this would be your last chance to get his weakness) All other missable should be obvious if you use the spreadsheet as they'll all be highlighted in red or have a note in the checklist section. One thing though, if you want to reveal all weaknesses from NPCs, there will be notes in the checklist for a few of them, the ones that appears both during day and night time but you can't challenge nor provoke them. Basically for those NPCs, you can Mug or Coerce them to get their weakness, however if you Steal / Purchase / Entreat all of their items then you won't be able to Mug them and same goes for Scrutinize / Inquire / Bribe with Coerce, meaning you'll lose the ability to get their weaknesses if you're not careful. Of course all NPCs that appears only at night you should refrain from using Entreat unless you already use Mug on them to get their weakness, but there are so many of them that I won't provide a note for each NPC. Just use your brain when you use your path action so you always get weakness first on NPCs that appear at night only. NPCs that appear during day time you should be able to Challenge / Provoke them as many times as you want without any problem minor the exceptions which will have notes in the spreadsheet when needed. When you're done with the game you can compare your inventory with the Item section and see if you got everything by comparing the "Max" column with your item count.
