General tips for beginners, and possibly for experienced players who forget about various mechanics and possibilities of the game. 1- If you're a beginner and can’t decide on a city, Rosewood would be the best option for you. It has a low number of zombies in the early days of the infection and plenty of useful loot. The only downside is that it’s far from other cities—keep this in mind. 2- Be sure to barricade or cover the windows with sheets. If zombies see you inside the house, they will try to reach you. 3- It’s better to spend the first week at your base if there is enough food in nearby houses. Keep the TV on and watch shows that help improve your skills, but keep the volume low. Also, consider exercising during this week. 4- If you hear the sound of your barricade breaking or banging on the window, go out and kill the zombie responsible (a lone zombie breaking your barricade or window). This happens very rarely, but if you don’t deal with it quickly, you may end up facing a horde. 5- Don’t forget about medical supplies—sleeping pills, beta blockers, painkillers, etc. They are often essential for your survival. 6- Carry a small supply of food with you—preferably chocolate, sweets, butter, or chips. You might need the satiety bonus at any moment. 7- There are different food states—frozen and heated. Frozen food spoils more slowly (it might be possible to freeze food in a refrigerator). Heated food, particularly meat, fish, and chicken, provides more satiety. 8- Make a sawed-off shotgun. The shotgun's range increases by one tile, but it has a narrower shooting angle and a lower chance of hitting the target. 9-Prioritize eating perishable food first (meat, fish, bread), and save vegetables, chips, and canned goods for later. 10- Pay attention to where your character is looking when attacking. If they’re looking down at a prone zombie, they’ll attack it instead of the one approaching you. 11- The target outline is a very useful feature. It highlights the zombie your character is targeting. Enable it in Settings -> Screen -> Target Outline -> For Firearms/All Weapons. 12- Take only what you need during a raid. If you overload your inventory with unnecessary items and become overburdened, zombies will easily catch up to you. 13- You’ll need two vehicles—one for large raids and another for scouting. 14- Remember to monitor the condition of your vehicle and improve your mechanics skill. 15- Inspect the area around your base daily. Zombies will continually spawn near your shelter, and at some point, they may gather in a horde to attack you. It’s better to deal with new zombies immediately. 16- Running over zombies with a car is not the best idea. Cars used to be much more durable, but now the hood, engine, trunk, suspension, etc., can be damaged after hitting 7–8 zombies. Previously, you could mow down hundreds and still have a functional car. 17- Skills can be quickly improved using books and by dismantling related items. Reading leaves you vulnerable to zombies, so do it in a safe place and only when you have spare time, as it takes several in-game hours. Avoid collecting books early in your survival; they’ll be more useful later. Don’t fill your inventory with them—they’re heavy. 18- Mild nausea/Nausea/Illness/Fever are some of the worst statuses you can experience. These often indicate infection with the virus, leaving no hope for recovery. However, fever and illness can also occur from long walks in the rain or eating spoiled food. The best way to combat illness is to stay home, maintain a satiety bonus, and remove other negative statuses when possible. Then, pray the game spares you. 19- The Molotov cocktail is an extremely effective weapon of mass destruction that’s often overlooked. Just throw one into a horde of zombies and watch as hundreds burn before your eyes. Be careful not to get too close, or you might end up as ashes yourself. Fire spreads quickly, so use it cautiously. 20- Corpses are a source of misery. If there are any near your future home, it’s a good idea to remove them first. Prolonged exposure to corpses will cause nausea and the first signs of illness in your character. Pile up the bodies far from your base, or burn them to forget about them. 21- Don’t eat food completely every time! You’re not only wasting supplies but also increasing your character's weight, which brings negative effects. If you’re slightly hungry, eat a quarter or half. 22- Take only one bag on raids. You won’t be able to run far with two, and most locations don’t have enough supplies to justify the weight. A free hand is useful for holding a flashlight. It’s also a good idea to carry basic medical supplies, such as bandages—just a few, around 3–4 pieces. 23- Electricity and water will eventually be cut off. Before this happens, set up a permanent base, gather plenty of fuel, and acquire a generator. It’s also very helpful to collect seeds and read books on farming and hunting, as food will eventually run out. 24- Change your clothes regularly if they become dirty or blood-stained. You can wash them in sinks, using soap to speed up the process. Many houses have laundry rooms on the ground floor with washing machines and dryers. 25- Firearms are convenient for killing zombies but very noisy—they’ll attract twice or even three times as many undead. Leave the area as quickly as possible after shooting. 26- Knives are one of the best melee weapons in the game. They’re lightweight and often found in homes. Crouch, approach a zombie closely, and press the attack button for a quick, silent kill. 27- Avoid taking hits—it’s better to retreat and return later. Even a simple scratch can be fatal in this game. 28- Use duct tape, scotch tape, or wood glue to repair items. Use these components wisely; don’t waste them on every broken butter knife. Save them for more valuable and rare tools. 29- Some items don’t have durability stats. If they aren’t used in crafting, they can often be used indefinitely. Once you find a saw or wrench, you can stop searching for replacements—they don’t break. 30- If you place a full bag into an empty one, you won’t break the system. Don’t waste your time. ! and immediately answer the question that arises, how does a player who doesn’t have even 20 hour in the game know this, before that I played pirate for more than 1000 hours, so believe me, I know what I’m talking about. !
