A terrible guide with bad grammer that vaguely warns of common run-enders for new players. Introduction; What is "getting Noita'd?" To start off, getting Noita'd is the act of suddenly dying to something not immediately obvious, usually an environmental hazard that newer players wouldn't know about or a random enemy showing up out of seemingly nowhere. This guide's just a random list of common ways of getting Noita'd and how to avoid them, and this isn't gonna be even close to comprehensive. Just a bunch of random tips I can think of off the top of my head both from both personal experience and from other people in the Noita community. Propane and Propane Accessories Propane tanks are found deeper in the mountain, most commonly on the third and fourth levels. They have some of the highest damage of any explosive barrel, doing about 100 damage. That's already fairly bad, because I always got shafted for health early on and would be lucky to reach the Snowy Depths with 145hp, but they also fill the entirety of their explosion radius with freezing vapor, rapidly dealing damage to anything inside and melting your health bar if you stay inside. Knowing that, you'd think you can just spot them and stay away, maybe blow them up to make sure they don't go off when you're right next to it. The problem is that they can quite often blend into the environment, and can not only sink into powdery substances like snow, but can also be completely hidden by it. Combined with the introduction of some electric hazards in these areas, which can instantly detonate them, they're generally an extremely bad time. Just make sure you see them and, if digging through powdered snow, be sure to keep your distance if possible. OH YEAH I FORGOT THAT IF THEY GET SHOT AND DON'T IMMEDIATELY EXPLODE THEY'LL START LEAKING AND FLY ALL OVER THE PLACE, WATCH OUT FOR THAT. Ukko <3 Electricity is unique among the other elements in that it's both extremely lethal and extremely easy to stunlock things with it. Conductive materials, such as every metal and every liquid, can spread electricity through a huge area, dealing massive damage to anything hit by it and stunning them for several seconds. The problem with this is that in a lot of cases where something that emits electricity is conducting through something, it releases electricity again before the electric stun ends. This is very bad. Infamously, the Ukko will begin showing up around the third level, and he's an extremely nasty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. He's tanky, can fly, doesn't need to breathe, emits electricity around him, and is healed by electric damage. Early on, the most effective strategy against an Ukko is to run away from them, or avoid them completely if you hear their electric shocks nearby. But hey, they drop a nice amount of gold. Alternatively, if you have the Ukkoskivi they will remain friendly if you're holding it in your hand. the Ukkoskivi. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, THE UKKOSKIVI. I hate this item so much. It will make you immune to electricity while you're touching it. H O W E V E R , It also electrocutes all conductive substances around it about twice a second. Considering that invincibility frames don't exist in this game, and that metal barrels will explode when zapped, THIS IS EXTREMELY BAD. There's another big problem with them but I'll get to that later in the guide. also this is very much a non-threat if you get the Electric immunity perk which makes it a much smaller threat than other things on this list. Wands. Wands are very nice and your primary form of doing... well, anything. But we're not here to talk about wand building, we're here to talk about how they can kill you randomly. The first one that comes to mind is shooting a wand when you have no clue what it does because it can potentially explode in your face. Basically if you pick up a wand and you don't know what it does, DON'T SHOOT IT. If you know what it does and you realize it'll kill you if you shoot it, DON'T SHOOT IT. That's basically it, but it also brushes on something i wanna cover later in the guide. No, the problem is that sometimes, other monsters can and will pick them up and shoot them. Initially, not a very big deal. So what if they have an extra attack now? Sometimes, wands have extremely destructive spells, such as Sea of Lava, or Nuke. As you can imagine, getting dunked in a portable KFC deep fryer or getting caught in the blast radius of a thermonuclear warhead is very bad for your health. There's other spells that, while less extreme, are still extremely lethal overall. One of the enemies that can pick up a wand is the Siirtäjämestari. (Master of Teleportion) As you can imagine, having someone teleport behind you and smite you is very bad and almost completely unavoidable. P O L Y M O R P H Polymorphine is, objectively speaking, the most dangerous substance in the game. It doesn't matter what perks, spells, or health you have, if you touch this stuff you will become a completely helpless sheep that can get one-shot by literally everything in the game. This wouldn't be too bad, but not only can you can never get permanent immunity to it, but it's extremely common and, in some cases, enemies can and will bleed it. If you've played long enough to find out how janky bleeding can be at times, you'll know just how bad that is. Not only that, but sometimes you'll get a bottle of it as a reward from chests. And bottles are very easily broken. The worst part is that this substance is only the second-greatest threat to your survival. It's you. You're the greatest threat to your own survival. Be careful. Ghosts of your past runs aside, whenever I look at my progress screen nothing has killed me more times than me. I've accidentally killed myself by shooting a disc projectile or an explosive too close to myself so many times it's ridiculous. I've died so many times doing something I know is stupid or risky, going into an area I know I'm not ready for or making a spell that's extremely deadly and is able to damage me. Nothing else to really say. Conclusion/tl;dr the wise Albino once said "Do not die in Noita, try to live."
