Verse 4 Patch 4 - Build 42.16.4036ChangesGrace for Plots All players can now claim and maintain one plot using the in-game currency, Grace: Earn Grace through daily login rewards and Gold Offerings. We remind you that Grace is region-locked. Spend 400 Grace to claim one Grace Plot, valid for one month. You can have only one Grace Plot. Auto-renewal is disabled for the ‘Grace Plot’. However, you can spend 400 additional Grace to extend your Grace Plot if its remaining duration is less than one month. You can also use a Token to extend its duration. In that case, once the first month of your plot (acquired with Grace) is over, it will become a standard plot. If you don’t own a Grace plot, you can also extend the duration of an existing plot (claimed with a regular Plot Token) using Grace. This plot will then function as a Grace plot (no auto-renew, and you cannot claim another fresh Grace plot). To make it easy for everybody to try it out, all existing players will receive 300 Grace after the maintenance. You will get grace in all the regions where you have entered the game with a character at least once before the maintenance. Moving forward, all new players starting Pax Dei after the maintenance will receive 100 Grace with their first login. More information: https://playpaxdei.com/news/game-updates/plot-management-changesParty Loot Rules We wanted to make it easier for players to share in gold rewards from PvE. We've added a Round-Robin rule, which is now the rule for gold distribution in parties. In the future, we'll also want to allow players to choose their preferred loot rules for parties.Party Members & Compass The compass now shows you the heading of your party members as long as they're in the same Province or Dungeon. If your party members are far away from you, their position updates much more slowly, or at the same rate as it updates on the map.Resources Many plants were tough to see due to their size and would sometimes entirely disappear into the surrounding foliage. We've made adjustments to several plants to make them easier to spot, such as Blueberries, Strawberries, Cotton, and many others.Gold Loot Gold loot has been adjusted so non-animal NPCs that previously would sometimes drop zero gold now always drop at least a minimum amount of gold; none of them are completely broke. The average gold loot from normal enemies remains the same as before. Hard enemies used to drop the same amount of gold as their "normal" counterparts. Many of you have given us feedback that they're not worth fighting because of this. Hard enemies (marked with a skull) now drop 50% more gold than before. Named enemy gold loot has also increased.NPC Loot Many enemies of higher Tiers used to pull gold from the wrong pocket (Tier 1 or 2) when they died. They now all drop the intended amount. Enemies of all different types used to drop a LOT of different items, which reportedly have caused a high level of frustration for inventory managers of the world. In addition to Relics (lockets, sigils, etc.) and Gold, each NPC of a given type now only has a chance to drop a few different types of items commonly. All of these items are very useful to one or more crafting professions.Animal Loot Animal droppings (pun intended) have been too similar, and the different amounts of raw materials that each animal dropped were too many, causing player frustration with inventory space. All animals have new loot tables defined, and a handful of recipes that rely on their materials have been adjusted. All animals that dropped Carcasses previously still do, with one exception. Wolf meat is off the menu; Chamois is now considered a delicacy instead. All Wolf Carcasses and Wolf Cuts have been replaced with Chamois Carcasses or Chamois Cuts. Sinew has been renamed Boar Sinew and only drops from Boars (duh!). Boar Sinew has been added to a couple of Leatherworking recipes. Intestines have been renamed Deer Intestines, and they drop from… Deer and Stags. Hooves only drop from Deer, Stags, and Chamois. Wool only drops from Chamois. Animal Fat and Suet no longer drop from animals; instead, they come from Butchering (see Crafting Recipes). Bears have a much greater chance of dropping animal Relics (Collarbones) and can drop multiple ones. T1 Boars, Foxes, Rabbits, Badgers, Wolves, and Bears additionally drop Bone Fragments.Animal Skinning When your skinning skill reaches +10 higher than the tier at which you could start skinning that hardness level, you get ~50% more hides. Smoothed out the progressively better hide drops across all animals. Worth noting that while the T3 Boars drop fewer hides than before, Wolves drop better hides, and Bears drop a "ton" of hides now. Rebalanced all skinning yields from Animals. Some of the hide "size" assignments changed, so here is a complete overview: Badgers, Foxes, and Rabbits drop Small Animal Hides. Boars, Chamois, T1 Wolves and T2 Wolves drop Animal Hides. Deer, Stags, and T3 Wolves drop Large Animal Hides. Bears drop a LOT of Large Animal Hides. No animal was harmed in the making of these changes.Crafting Recipes Grain Mills have been causing the bakers and brewers of the world a lot of grief. The Baking Guild has passed legislation to reduce the unlock skill level of Baking Tools to 6 and their difficulty to 13. The recipes for crafting Baking Tools and the Grain Mill have been simplified and no longer require Wrought Iron or Granite, respectively. Reduced the cost of Iron Wire and Steel Wire by half. Now they are produced in batches of (4) at a cost of (2) ingots of the respective material, instead of batches of (5) at a cost of (5) ingots. Added an alternate new recipe for Glue, from Bone Fragments (50). Added an alternate new recipe for Fine Glue, from Bone Fragments (100). Horn Buttons are now produced from Antlers, not Hooves. Leather String now requires Boar Sinew (1). Leather Handles now require Boar Sinew (1). Lime Mortar now requires (5) Water instead of (20). Linseed Oil now also requires Tallow (10). Linseed Oil now unlocks at skill 7 and has difficulty 16. Horn Pins and Needles now unlock at skill 7 and have difficulty 16. Charcuterie has been renamed Butchering. So the former Charcutiers are now Butchers. Butchers have spent as much time in Carpentry as in the butchery shop in order to craft enough chests to store the overflow of various animal parts that spill out of butchered Carcasses. Most butchering recipes for parting Carcasses have been drastically simplified, producing a primary Cut (such as Shanks, Neck, or Flank) without the progressively increasing amount of byproducts on top. Meat Chunks are still produced as a byproduct of carcass-parting recipes up to skill 16. Butchering any Carcass produces Bone Fragments as a byproduct. Butchering Deer and Chamois Carcasses produces Suet as a byproduct. Butchering Boar and Bear Carcasses produces Animal Fat as a byproduct.Crafting Speed and Mastery Standard crafted components now initially take a little less time to craft. As you gain mastery in the skill and the recipe becomes trivial, crafting time decreases further down to 1/5th when fully mastered.Stack Sizes All [Animal] Shank Meat now stacks up to 20. All [Animal] Neck Meat now stacks up to 20. All [Animal] Flank Meat now stacks up to 20. All [Animal] Rump Meat now stacks up to 20. All [Animal] Round Meat now stacks up to 20. All [Animal] Shoulder Meat now stacks up to 20. Meat Strips now stack up to 20. Meat Chunks now stack up to 100. Antlers now stack up to 20. Canonite now stacks up to 100. Ambergrasp now stacks up to 100.Miracles St. Lupus' Minor Favor rewards from skinning have been updated to complement the new Animal Skinning and yield better. St. Lupus' Minor Favor also affects raw material loot from animals, so Stags offer more Antlers and Chamois offer more Wool, for example.Item Repair We want to make it less painful for players who wear equipment of various sorts to repair it. You can now repair any items at any crafting bench.Names As mentioned above, the Charcuterie skill has been renamed to Butchering. Similarly, renamed tools and workbenches accordingly. Chamois, Boars and Wolves of different Tiers have earned unique names that fit their appearance and/or biomes.Fixes Several improvements to occasional server hitches. Fixed an issue where players could end up in fly mode after maneuvering and mining at the same time. When you use Alt+LMB to Move All Stacks from one inventory to another, but the destination inventory doesn't have room for all of them, the action now prioritizes items from the BOTTOM of the previous inventory instead of taking from the top first. Hoarders rejoice! Dungeon Loot Piles of all sorts now have a personal lockout timer of 16 hours instead of 30 minutes, as originally intended. The idea here is that they can be searched up to once per day per player, and to provide some flexibility, we set the timer to 16 hours instead of 24. Fixed an issue where a party member icon lingered on the map after a party member went offline. Clarified "Death in Home Valleys" tutorial. Show a more understandable error message to players when payment fails with a Steam error code. Fixed the genetic makeup of Bears. Black Bears are Tier 3, Brown Bears are Tier 4 and slightly larger, and Gray Bears are Tier 5, the largest of the three. Yes, you read that right: Tier 5.

Hello Paxians! You can find more information about the game content and mechanics: On our website On our Discord server On community resource sites Battle for Lyonesse update adds significant new gameplay to Lyonesse, the open PvP area in the world of Pax Dei. For more details, you can check our post describing the Feudal Sovereignty on Lyonesse and watch our Verse 5 video showcasing the new content. Release Notes New resource: Mournwood, which you can harvest from new Mournel trees that only appear in Lyonesse. Be careful - Fast Travel is disabled if you carry Mournwood. Mournel trees are very scarce and appear only in the world during regional peak game hours in the evening. You will see the spot where a tree is about to appear in the game map of Lyonesse, a set amount of time before it spawns. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6 PM-10 PM Tuesday, Saturday - 5 PM-10 PM NA shards are set to MT (UTC-7); EU shards (including Arcadia) are set to CET (UTC+1); SEA shards are set to SGT (UTC+8) Mournel trees are very tough and have a ton of health. Fully harvesting one will likely require sustained effort from many players. However, Mournwood is given in stages; a single player can harvest it, even if entirely chopping down the tree would take much longer. Lyonesse will gain 12 new Feudal Shrines that only a Clan Elder and the Alderman can claim. Claiming a Feudal Shrine site costs both Gold and Mournwood. The sites have a Mournwood upkeep cost and storage for up to a week of upkeep. Claiming a Feudal Shrine allows you to place three plots at the site, which can be upgraded to host up to 22 plots. You can set a Feudal Shrine that your Clan has claimed as your Petra Mea Home point, and you can use a spell that costs 20 Grace to fast travel to it.Arcadia temporary balancing notice The balancing for Mournels and the Shrines was temporarily changed in Arcadia for testing and has now been rolled back. The live update uses the intended balancing: Mournel's hardness and health are higher than during the test, and Shrine claiming costs are back to 200 Mournwood and 50k Gold. Patch Notes PvP & Lyonesse You can now acquire Mournwood from Mournel trees in Lyonesse. You can use Mournwood along with Gold to control one (or more) of the 12 new Feudal Shrines in Lyonesse. The shrines can be upgraded to allow more building and a feature upkeep system. The Lyonesse map has been updated to show the Shrines, the heraldry of the controlling Clan, and the Mournel tree spawns. While bearing Mournwood, characters cannot use Fast Travel miracles, including Unstuck. Logout time in Lyonesse has been increased to 60 seconds and resets if you take damage during this period. Remember to only log out in locations you know are safe. Doors require players to be members of the controlling Clan when placed on a plot near a Shrine. We will introduce similar controls outside of Lyonesse. An issue that sometimes flagged players for PvP upon entering Lyonesse through the safe areas has been fixed.Gameplay Changes You’ll now only experience the “20s Weapon Switching Cooldown” when equipping a weapon that is different from the last one that was equipped. You can now sheath your weapon, equip bows or tools, and then draw your gun again without incurring the cooldown. You can also equip a weapon of the same “type” without incurring the cooldown. So, for example, you can swap between an Iron Mace and a Bronze Mace without a cooldown, but if you swap from Staff of the Divine to Staff of Zephyr, you will incur a cooldown because the two staffs have different spells and attributes. Fix for NPC spawning issue that caused named NPCs in dungeons to be extremely rare. They should now appear at the expected rates. Fixed an issue where the Valet of the Chamber was accidentally showing up in a place where it shouldn’t have. Cultists have heightened security and become more protective of their piles of ill-got loot. Cave populations have been bolstered and rearranged to the whims of the Divine. Zebian Cultists have rearranged and bolstered their forces within Zebeum dungeons. Fixed an issue where multiple players could sit on pre-placed chairs in POIs. Fixed issues where creatures in caves would spawn in unreachable places. Demonic trees from the Corrupted Plains biome are no longer interactable by any player-facing means.Gameplay Balancing Resource balancing has undergone significant changes, as outlined below. We want to highlight that, while the number of spawn nodes in some cases is now lower than before, total harvestable resources are up across the board for all resources because respawn timers are faster. XP from Elite and Boss enemies has been increased by 18%. Elite enemies deal more damage, especially Elite Cultists and Demons. Enemies should lose interest in you a bit sooner, especially if you haven’t done anything to them and you’re running away from them. Pure Iron found outside Lyonesse has increased slightly. Respawn timers for most resources were made significantly shorter. This affects all world areas and effectively makes the amount of daily spawns higher than before, even for resources where the spawn node amount was lowered. The previous Verse accidentally distributed significantly more Pure Iron and Cotton to Lyonesse than intended. The number of spawn nodes has been reduced, but with the spawn timer change, the total number of daily resources available is higher than in Verse 4. Lyonesse now spawns all resources that are available in Wildlands. Enchanting resources spawned on the ground in Lyonesse were reduced from 4 to 2 nodes. Enchanting resources dropped as loot from NPCs were increased significantly, and the chance of dropping 0 Enchanting resource loot was removed from the Residual Collector, Reaper, and Hoarder. An issue that made Collectors, Reapers, and Hoarders much less likely to spawn than intended has been fixed. Increased durability and lifetime of weapons, tools, and shields by 33% & decreased lifetime of armor by 33%. Loot from Loot Piles has improved significantly. You can now expect to get some gold, some stacks of valuable materials, faction relics, and a reasonable chance of getting a rare relic. NPCs no longer drop Nubuk leather; instead, they may drop Suede leather or better. Changed some ability cooldowns for NPCs that affect their behaviors in different ways to make them a bit more tactical to fight against.Building & Crafting All chests and storage containers have had their capacity increased, and their descriptions now clearly indicate how much they can store. The size of individual containers has also been tuned to better reflect the difficulty and cost of manufacturing them. Each storage tier now offers a small selection of mass-produced container options, rather than a single obvious choice. These containers are larger than before, and we hope that, combined with the increased size of many components, this will make inventory management less of a headache for you. Recipes for several chests and other storage containers have been updated to better reflect their quality, materials, and relative tier within the progression. The Griffin Chest is now produced from more appropriate materials. At launch, it was unfortunately too cheap and easy to manufacture, which overshadowed other storage options. Griffin Chest is intended to be a distinct visual option, not the best storage wooden planks can buy. Increased stack sizes of various crafting components, most notably for components related to Tailoring, Leatherworking, Baking, and Brewing. Processing crafters, such as Kilns and Furnaces, now have a more sensible default sorting of Recipes (yes, charcoal now appears before Lime). Fixed an issue where door states were not replicated correctly and caused problems with more than a single player. Fixed an issue where the Long Log beam connected one way, but not the other. Fixed an issue with crafting attempts getting stuck occasionally. Fixed an issue with grass being visible through the Water Well. Fixed the inconsistent names of the Limestone wall construction pieces. Fixed recipe tiers for parted chamois meat. The Bronze Bar recipe is now unlocked by default.New Furniture/Decoration New wooden signs Roman number signs from I-X, Arrow signs (Left, Right, Up, Down), Beer sign. Garden Wheelbarrow (static) for decoration, also functioning as a small container. Lots of new decorative Tableware. A few new animal hide rugs of different sizes. Lots of new candleholders — both wall-hung and table styles. New wooden table, stool, and shelf. New window planters.User Interface The HUD has been adjusted and does not overlap with any other UI elements, as follows: The pickup, crafting progression, and combat progression Notifications have been moved to the left side of the character. The Zone & PVP component has been adjusted and moved slightly upwards. The Main Notification has been adjusted and moved slightly downwards. Revive is easier to respond to. The notification is longer, and a key-hold action has been added. Fixed an issue with information about Item Power bonus that can be granted by Enchanting, not taking previous Enchantments of that item into account. The duration of the Active Premium status has been added to the Premium tooltip. Fixed an issue with duplicated "+" symbols in the Polish localization of the Premium Bonuses tooltip text. Fixed an issue where flickering occurred in item tooltips within UIs when the language was set to German. Fixed an issue where looting and skill notifications would stop displaying. Fixed an issue where the map inside the Plots menu of the construction hammer would briefly display all zone names in one place before the map fully loaded. Fixed an issue where notifications about splitting Gold would still appear after leaving a Party. Fixed an issue where outdated localization appeared for text indicating corpse expiration timer. Fixed an issue where the pickup notification would sometimes remain on screen and blink. Clan application notifications are now only sent to the Alderman and Elders. Incorrect usernames no longer display when receiving Clan or party invites. The readability of interactive tutorials has been improved.Art & Visuals Fixed an issue with Snag Trees' physics when being chopped down. Fire in the Brickmaker Crafter is now correctly aligned. Fixed an issue where the bloom of the sun shining could be seen passing through the mountain range. Fixed an issue where some foliage was appearing in places it was not supposed to. Fixed an issue where some trees were stretching vertically and did not look correct. Fixed an issue where the player’s crosshair turned red when hovering over another player, outside of PvP. Fixed several pieces of leather garments that had minor clipping on the belts and the waist area. Hammer now stays in hand while destroying a building. Updated the visual style of the Sylvan spell effects.In-game shop and Plot Tokens Added 2 new subscription plans, “Premium + 6 plots” and “Premium + 8 plots”. Added the option to purchase individual Plot tokens on: Our webshop. The In-game shop for Steam and Epic game clients. This will be added later to the Xbox game client.Other Client no longer crashes when the Steam subscription purchase is cancelled. Known Issues Lyonesse There is no information about releasing Feudal plots when disbanding a Clan that owns at least one Feudal Plot. User may occasionally be unable to place a plot or see the Feudal borders upon claiming a Feudal Shrine as Clan Leader or joining a Clan with a claimed Shrine as Villager - Logout/Login solves the issue. "Fast travel location unlocked!" notification appears when approaching an unclaimed Feudal Shrine or a Shrine claimed by another Clan. Minor world issues in Lyonesse In the Southeastern part of Corbin, in Lyonesse, the map shows a road leading to a Lost Souls camp, but the camp is on a cliff and not accessible by road. Multiple floating border Stones between Avalon and the center, in Lyonesse. Stretched texture on a paved path in Lyonesse Avalon. A path to Carnac Feudal Shrine in Lyonesse - Brecilien does not lead to the entrance A path is blocked with a boulder in Lyonesse, Avalon Misaligned walls are present on the road near the cliffside in the Eastern part of Lyonesse - Corbin. Some paths on the Lyonesse map are not clearly marked. Multiple Border Stones in Avalon, Lyonesse clip with other assets. Some resources spawn on the road in Lyonesse - Brecilien. Pure Iron Deposit can spawn on the roof and walls of a Watchtower in the center of Lyonesse. Bush spawns inside a border stone on the border between Brecilien and the center of Lyonesse. Trees clipping through border stones on the border between Brecilien and the center of Lyonesse. A specific tree's roots are flickering based on the camera position in Lyonesse - Karrek. Tortured Oak's branches are flickering based on the camera position in Lyonesse - Avalon. A jagged wall is present on some cliffs in Lyonesse - Karrek. Some floating foliage is present in Lyonesse - Karrek. Unnaturally placed border stone on the border between Corbin and the center of Lyonesse. Three border stones are clamping together at the border between the central zone of Lyonesse and Brecilien. Some resources can spawn over the Petra Dei in Lyonesse, Avalon. A tree clips with a path in Lyonesse, Avalon. Character clips through a stone on the border between Brecilien and Corbin. Trees spawn inside border stones on the border between Brecilien and Corbin. A border stone clips through two other border stones on the border between Brecilien and Karrek. A floating border stone is placed on the border between Brecilien and Corbin. The death marker can obscure the Feudal Shrine map icon, preventing the teleport-to-Shrine function. A Silver Fir Sapling grows through the stone walls of a watchtower, North-East from the Dolorous Shrine.Items, Crafting There is an inconsistency between skill requirements and crafting stations for the different Rug recipes. Missing [G] Examine option for some Furnishings. The collision area for the Wooden Shelf furnishing currently covers the entire rectangular body of the object. As a result, smaller items cannot be placed on its lower shelves. Multiple small objects have missing particles when destroyed. The earrings are placed incorrectly on the character models. Some of the 2-handed weapons are clipping through the character’s neck and head during animation from idle to block and vice versa. Snapping issue with granite and gneiss stairs and walls. Examined items can collide with, displace, or make invisible the player's character. While examining the torso and leg armor, the camera on some items becomes out of focus, resulting in a loss of depth of field (DoF). While placing items into the crafting queue in the Fermenter, the SFX will be missing on one of the slots. The Grain Mill has a millstone near the foundation with an uneven texture. The Wooden Shield does not yield XP from crafting. Some yellow onions are floating in the air. The Water Well blueprint includes an untextured plane in the middle (it disappears when placed).Combat and locomotion Humanoid NPCs disappear when being lured a significant distance away from their spawn area. Bloodfed Grove SFX disappears after 12 seconds when in casting stance. The Battleaxe lacks SFX for blocking attacks. The character's sprint animation jitters when turning or sprinting in frantic loops. The animal NPCs can lose aggro while fighting on the ground covered in items. Inquisition Rectifiers can simultaneously cast a shield on the same NPC, resulting in stacked shields. The Valet of the Chamber in the Carcinoma dungeon is always the following rare spawn after being killed. The arrows shot by an Inquisition Assessor are not aligned with the shooting animation. Players will briefly see their character standing up where they died before being teleported to a respawn point.Miscellaneous (UI & Graphical) Players cannot extend a token-placed plot duration with Grace if it has more than 1 month before the expiration time, while the UI acts as if it is possible. Clan invite Notifications occasionally fail to appear and are not displayed in the Notification menu. The only way to resolve this issue is to open the Clans list by pressing the [O] key and manually search for the Clan to which the player has been invited. By selecting that Clan from the list, the player will see a pending invitation that can be either accepted or declined. Lobby: "Unknown Error" might occasionally appear when performing specific actions, particularly when cancelling the character creation process. The zone selection area of Tremen overlaps with Vanes’s one in the starting location menu. Gateway travel can be triggered by running into walls near the passage. The Examining function can make some button prompts on UI pop-ups disappear. Some graphical artifacts appear in the clouds when any Super Resolution option is enabled (they are less visible with DLSS than with TSR or FSR3). Floating foliage can be found near Petra Dei in Kerys - Pladenn. Beech and Oak's branches are flickering based on the camera position in Ancien - Salias. Floating foliage present near Ancien - Armanhac. Some floating foliage is present near Ancien - Salias, Kerys- Bronyr, and Merrie - Down. There are some misaligned Birch tree roots in Kerys - Bronyr. Player's character clips through a rock due to inaccurate collision in Ancien- Armanhac.
