[Coop tips work in singleplayer as well] Punching Ai In Coop missions, there are often friendly ai that have good ♥♥♥♥ on them. Officers usually have golden grenades which can serve as supplies. Snipers also carry at least 1 golden grenade. Officers will carry around 4-5. Radio operators can carry flare guns. Usually, it takes around a few minutes of beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of Ai until you can get the examine icon. In Coop Ai can also be found manning emplacements. Like heavy artillery ... Which is much better in your hands. [BONUS] What happens if there is a heavy gun or emplacement that is out of the bounds of the map but you can kind of reach it? Well besides punching the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Ai or burning them alive you can try to drive them over with a tank. By manually controlling your tank you can swindle your way to an extra artillery piece. If an emplacement is towable then your partner in crime can tow it away especially if it's just barely outside the bounds. If you don't feel like waiting then you can throw a Molotov... Machine gun meta Machine gun best weapon in the game. -2nd best range -Really Op damage Machine guns should be the only thing your troops have and you should strip the whole map down for machine gun ammo. Snipers are too slow on the offensive and machine guns can dual other machine guns. In Coop machine guns can dual machine gun emplacements, snipers, and basically god himself. Not to mention if your men survive and gain veterancy they basically don't even need to worry about recoil or reloading. Coop bugs If two players enter a tank or emplacement together, anytime the player who doesn't own the object selects the emplacement/tank it will also appear on screen for the player who owns it. This creates a lot of problems with sharing your stuff as it can cause the player who owns the vehicle to group up to his other vehicles which will cause them to run towards each other. Emplacements will also cause nearby tanks to go towards it if this glitch occurs. And there's also a glitch where if two players enter a vehicle together at the same time and the player who 'owns' the vehicle exits the vehicle with all his men. They can still end up controlling the vehicle despite not having anyone under their command in it. It might happen with emplacements but seems to happen less. Lesson here? Never share in Men of war! Sand block Sandbags can block infantry. Use this knowledge with great pleasure. Ai behavior Ever wanted reinforcements from your Ai pals when there isn't any? In some missions, the Ai manning the emplacements, in vehicles, sitting, or just in a position can be knocked out with a grenade or punch. This will sometimes get them to start free-roaming towards the enemy. Ai also follows the sounds of combat not actually where combat is happening. For example, sometimes you will notice that Ai throws grenades at artillery shells for no reason. You can easily attract free-roaming Ai with shells from artillery guns. Ai can't throw smoke or anti-tank grenades on infantry targets. Molotovs are an exception. Your own men will also throw molotovs at infantry if there are no grenades available but sometimes they will throw a Molotov even though they have grenades. This can cause either serious damage to the enemy or your own squad. Ai who is bounced out of their emplacements doesn't die. You can tell they are not dead if you can instantly examine them and they still have a tint. Ai also tend to run immediately back to their emplacements including your Ai typically to their own deaths. Ai usually don't remain tanks but that depends on missions. However, they will keep trying to repair the tank over time which you can exploit by camping them. Ai machine guns are more accurate than rifles long-range and are literal laser beams in close range. Ai flame throwers rarely work. Depending on the script. Ai has infinite ammo most of the time in vanilla. Robz and Valour they can run out of ammo. On tanks or emplacements, the Ai will have infinite ammo. Ai has infinite bandages but they tend to never bandage themselves when under unless they are already bandaging. However, if they throw grenades it will not be in their inventory. Ai also has a tendency to run right into a grenade killing itself. They will sometimes attempt to throw a grenade back but if the grenade is cooked properly they will mostly die. If an Ai is killed while holding any item like grenades they will drop it on the ground but if they are in the middle of the animation they will not drop it but instead have it in their inventory highlighted blue. Ai can't pick up items off the ground like bandages, ammo, fuel, guns [unless they drop their own somehow, or civlilans], or unlit gernades. Ai also will start doing push-ups when getting gunned down by a machine gun. Species of Ai 1) Free roamers - These Ai will typically spread throughout the map in every nook and cranny. Very attracted to sound and will typically know your location when spotted but easy to kill since they rarely attack in an organized fashion. When you leave them alone they tend to just spread out. They also tend to just run away in fear when being shot at. Or they would just be prone or seek meaningless positions to shoot back at your thousands of mortars and machingeguns. 2) Script attackers - These Ai will chase after you but run back to a destinated spot if you run away. They will kind of slingshot back and forth. 3) Guard dogs - These Ai are attracted to noise but are somewhat blind. If you leave them alone they will just stand there obvious. They will also be attracted to corpses of their own but won't do anything besides stand there. These are the dumbest Ai and should be punished severely whenever you can. 4) The Braindead - These Ai will typically man a spot despite constant shelling and a changing battlefield. The only time they move is when a grenade is thrown their way. But even then you would think they would realize that grenades mean that they are too close to an enemy but they will run right back to their positions. Even through constant shelling and infantry charges, these Ai will stand their ground. The most violent and dumbass of the Ai species. Also, the only times they somewhat move is when they are being suppressed, ran over, or being set on literal fire. These Ai also tend to throw grenades and Molotov's more. 5) The Drug addicts - These Ai are by far the rarest of all Ai. This typically requires map scripting but these Ai are known to just charge a position and not even shoot back or look at where they are even going. Easy kill easy life. They also tend to do a line formation to absorb bullets from each other. 6) The actual threats - Sniper Ai is the most dangerous Ai and should be hunted down at all times. The killfeed is your best friend in Coop to find them especially if you are in a chaotic fight. Machine gunners are somewhat less dangerous on the attack but more dangerous on the defense. Flame thrower Ai is only a threat if they actually work. SMG/Semi-Auto Ai is barely a threat but in close range, they are somewhat a threat if you're not careful. 7) The Civilians - These Ai are typically neutral but like to pick up fallen guns in battle. Killing one might cause the rest of the population to be hostile and ruin all international peace efforts. 8) Animals - They run around when shot. Also, chickens can be picked up and thrown. Gun Knowledge

Rifles There are two types of rifles that all men of war commanders need to know. One is ♥♥♥♥ and the other one is decent. Semi automatic Semi automatic weapons are decent but not as good as machine guns. However they are good enough to go toe to toe with SMG's. The americans get the M1 Grand as their standard rifles which is actually pretty good in close quarters. Regular rfiles Regular one shot rifles are ♥♥♥♥! They're slow reload time and short range makes them outclassed. Equip your men with faster shootings guns! Sniper rifles are only good if their is a sniper to use it. Smg's Smg's are mediocre and only good for close range however a light or heavy machine gun can always outclass a smg. A assault rifle like the STG (Which counts as a smg in the game) is the best long range smg there is. The Standard SMG's PPSH is a really good assault smg and has a good enough ammo count to make it better then the Mp40 but in game it won't really make a play. Silenced Sten Smg have their own unique bonus and generally the Sten is much more quieter then the other smg which is useful for sneaking around. The thompson smg is trash unless you can find a drum barrel around somewhere. Machine guns Machine guns are the strongest overpowered weapons in the game. They do more damage and have longer ranges over most weapons. Light machine guns in any form is better on all roles such as assault, defense, and etc. Heavy machine guns tend to slow down the soldier using it but its better in terms of holding down a area. German MG's are great in both assault and defense scenarios. The more ammo it can carry the more overpowered it is! Note: German MG's have a higher increase of fire compared to other guns which makes them better then most other machine guns. They consume more ammo but since their kill time is generally shorter its not as big of a problem. Heavy american browning machine guns such as the one you can get off the tops of Sherman tanks have both ups and downs. The downs is that you can't move fast and you can't change stances without holstering the weapon. The Ups is that you can shoot through basically anything because your actually carrying a AA gun. Note: Heavy Brownings use heavy machine gun AP ammo and not regular machine gun ammo. Machine guns can be collected through most tanks by grabbing it from their inventory. In this way you can equip other types of machine guns onto a tank. Anti Tank Weapons Anti tank weapons are also good against infantry although their ability to kill tanks makes them a great target. Soldiers equipped with anti tank weapons are generally painted with a more bigger target sign on them then others. They will also not fire at infantry with their anti tank weapon which is both good and bad. Anti Tank rifles Anti Tank rifles can shoot through cover if it's thin enough and can evaporate the enemy. They are as accurate as a sniper rifle if used in correct position. However most of the time you will need to manually control the Anti tank rifle. Anti Tank rifles are really good at shooting at emplacements of all kinds. Damaging them and knocking out their crews. Anti Tank rifles can destroy buildings but only if you shoot at it long enough but if the building is made out of wood it can be destroyed with one shot. Note: Anti Tank rifles can be used to capture half tracks as you can target the person on the machine gun and then the driver. You can wait for the driver to replace the dead man on the machine gun or risk shooting into where the driver would be in the vehicle (Which might damage it). Rocket launchers Rocket launchers are amazing at close quarters urban combat! Their ability to destroy walls and create holes through them are super useful in the quick urban war environment. Panzerfaust Panzerfaust are great one time weapons to quickly break through walls. They can be used to shoot out someone from a window. However Panzerfaust are one time which means if you confront a armored vehicle you can be in trouble. Rockets V Walls If a rocket hits the wall it will typically take the whole side of the building with it. Wooden buildings will be destroyed in one shot killing everyone inside most of the time. Anyone positioned on the window will be killed if the rocket destroys the floor under them. Rockets can be used to splash damage onto windows, emplacements, etc. Functions like a longer range Anti Tank grenade in combat. Note: Using rockets are advised only if you can replace them later for use on armored targets. Note: Piat's have a short of curve angle of launch kind of like a mortar. Which means they can be used prone a lot easier but this ability doesn't make it super strong. Rockets V Emplacements If a rocket hits a emplacement it will knock out the crew. It will destroy light emplacements and damage heavier emplacements. The soldiers in heavier emplacements will mostly be knocked out of the emplacement but sometimes they will die. Rifle Grenades Rifle Grenades are basically short range mortars and are good against infantry. They can also be used on armored vehicles of all kinds! For some reason Rifle Grenade ammo counts as grenades on the hotbar (both anti-tank and regular grenades in some instances). So if you tell a soldier with a rifle grenade but no actual grenades to throw one using the hotbar they will instead holster their weapon and do nothing with the ammo for the rifle grenade. When fighting armored vehicles it is best for the Rifle Grenade soldier on be on higher ground so that they can shoot at the engine from the top. Since Rifle Grenade's arc like a mortar attacking the armored vehicle like a rocket launcher won't work as well. Rifle Grenades can kill enemies behind props but aren't as good in destroying props. Their weakness is their low ammo capacity and long reload times. Their accuracy also varies. Pistols Pistols are a good secondary weapon because they take up very little space in their inventory. However they deal very little damage which makes them only good as a last resort weapon. If you can all soldiers should have a pistol or smg as their secondary. One longer range weapon and one shorter range weapon. The shorter range weapon should use the ammo source that is most plentiful. In this way pistols are almost always ready to be used as a last resort. In vanilla they use the Smg ammo. Flare Guns Some flares can be used to light up areas but you typically won't use those. These flares won't deal any damage but soldiers love shooting them. The Flare gun you really want in your possession is the one that can shoot out red smoke. These can be paired with radio backpacks in order to call in devastating close range bombardment. Takes a while to reload so always plan out your reloads. Silenced pistols A rare gun but can be found on scout units. It takes up more space but is one of the few silenced weapons in the game which makes it somewhat useful. A silenced Smg is typically better but Silenced pistols can be used to sneak around. Throwables Knives. One shot one kill. Don't miss. ShotgunsSuper rare weapon? Can knock people back but it has really short range making it useless in most scenarios. Can kind of break through objects and is better then rifles in short range. Other weapons... Did you know you can pick up chickens and throw them? They deal some sort of damage.... Random knowledge

Manual highlight If you lose a unit that you're manually commanding then the highlight function will automatically be activated even if you have it deactivated. Very annoying if you don't want the screen to be filled with glowing soldiers. Silence Weapons (mutiplayer) Silence SMGs, silence rifles, silence pistols, and knives when shot/thrown at an enemy will not trigger other soldiers that are on return fire to fire back if the target is killed instantly and is at a great enough distance. The same thing goes for tank and emplacement as they will not be alerted by the silenced kill. However, this is really unreliable unless you have a lot of knives because knives actually don't alert the enemy at all in any case. A link to a video showing how reliable the knife is Knives will bounce off of half-tracks Most of the time... not really confirmed. A knife bouncing off of a half track Green? For some reason, the tanks will become green in highlight and into Ai control. This will sometimes make them invincible to all forms of damage. You can somewhat recreate this with tanks (like light Japanese tanks) and trying to kill them with a HE shell from a self-propelled gun. An impact from a self-propelled gun (HE) will sometimes make the tanks break apart (mostly Japanese tanks). The Goliath will typically become green when destroyed and remain there. The green Goliath The greeeen Goliath HE on Japanese light tanks Half track If you kill the driver and gunner for some reason the people in the half-track won't re-man those positions even if you tell manually try to use the gun. Half tracks not driving Sandbag variants Sandbags meant for emplacements won't work for infantry sandbags even though it shows up as a sandbag on the hotbar. In the inventory, the sandbags won't stack on each other. Infantry sandbags don't work on emplacement. The cockblock If you have enough regular infantry you can technicality block off the map by building a giant sandbag wall across. The only way to remove sandbags is through explosions which makes them better than barbed wire which doesn't work half the time. Tank's however can roll over them as well as some emplacements but they can't destroy them, unlike barbed wire. Mortar hitbox The Mortar hitbox is just the Mortar and so the infantry carrying it can go through stuff. This allows the mortars to go through stuff like sandbags. Use this knowledge with great pleasure (may bug your mortar if you try to fit in inside a building or something). The Shift click Shift-clicking allows your units to perform multiple actions at once. For example, you can tell a medic to heal multiple men. However, on defense, this can be used to great extent! In this way, you can build a single barbed wire or hedgehog instead of making a line. It also makes the placement of this defense more accurate. Mines Shift-clicking mines will allow you to place down one mine. This is better than just dragging across in some scenarios because it will prevent chain explosions that will ruin your minefield. The shift mines The machine gun slot Any vehicle that allows you to take a machine gun can also allow you to equip with any other machine gun. Example: You can equip a Bren carrier with a buzzsaw. Or a Panther with a browning machine gun. Rubble from buildings Rubble can really hurt your infantry or anyone poking outside a vehicle like a half-track. Your tank officer or half-track crew can die from the rubble. However, for open-top turrets, the rubble won't damage anyone except the machine gunner (on the AA). For example the American Wolverine or Greyhound. Double L's Clicking L too times will self-destruct anything regardless if there's anyone crewing it or not. It will also cause a miniature explosion at the site. Ura Charge You can shift an Ura Charge (special to the Russian faction) to move it together but if you split it up into squads you can never reform the charge to over 10 men. So if you had one Ura charge as shift 1 then you will have multiple shift 1 squads if you split them up. However, you would only be able to quickly select one. Oh yeah shifting a squad allows you to quickly select it by clicking that number all the way to 9. Banner Colors Orange: Your squad has a rocket launcher. Red: Your squad has an anti-tank rifle or anti-tank grenade rifle. The more stars on your banner the more veteran your troops. On the left side of your screen, there are little circles that represent the health of your squads. Red circle means critical condition. Yellow means half health. Grey is alright. A target sign means your squad has a sniper in it. The American Maxon AA For some reason, the American light Maxon AA requires the soldier to decrew it and then recrew it in a moveable state. This is very buggy and will sometimes make it so that the soldier refuses to move the AA at all. American M20's American M20's always come with a bazooka and rockets. Russian heavy machine gun The Russian jeep has the rare heavy machine gun that can fire 100 rounds. Grass lag Having grass lags your game a lot more than you may think! Weird water graphical stuff Having lower visual settings can allow you to see through the water more clearly than someone who has high visual settings. This can be seen easier in action if the map does not have a good or have any skybox (environment). How to kinda increase FOV Without mods increasing your visual settings will also increase the FOV. Not just by increasing the FOV slider but with all other settings. You can see much more just by having more settings but in return more lag. So it is recommended that low setting users increase their FOV to the highest to compete. Ammo fix For some units, the ammo might get bugged even if you have the ammo type it requires. For example, the Japanese Isuzu Mortar Truck has a tendency to bug out and stop reloading (even when you reload manually). The easy fix is to just right-click the ammo type in the inventory. Stopping self destruct Double L's to self-destruct things. If you don't want to self-destruct something then get units in it. Machine gun kicking When equipping a machine gun on a vehicle at the same time a soldier is trying to get on will cause the soldier to be kicked out. (Reequipping a machine gun in battle may cause a on boarding tank commander to be kicked out). Tank commander Knockout A tank commander will sometimes be knocked out of the vehicle (anyone thats shot outside the hatch of the tank) and not die. However they will have very low health and likely fly inside the tank. Do not move the tank in this case manually for it will crush the fallen soldier. Wait for the tank commander to pop out of the tank before climbing onboard again. Light AT It is possible to destroy light armored vehicles (mostly recon such as the sdfk) by timing the explosions of regular grenades so that it detonates right on top of the armor. Random Knowledge 3 New Facts! Infinite veterancy When a infantry man damages a light emplacement by shooting at it they can gain a veterancy point. So if there's a Ai enemy that constantly repairs a light emplacement you can shoot it over and over again to gain veterancy although it's a lot better to just kill the enemy. Bullet V. Emplacements Many At guns, wheels, and light support guns can be simply knocked out of action by shooting at it. The best weapon to do this is a MG or a squad of men shooting at the emplacement. However, it's dangerous to shoot at a emplacement in the front anyways (Try to shoot the feet or side of the enemy gunners) but if your out of bullets and in good cover it's a good way to knock out a gun quick! (Mortars can be knocked out by shooting at them as well. The circular sandbag does not fully cover the mortar nor does it protect against penetration!) This list might expand in the future... Add some random facts in the comments below! Melee Knowledge

Game knowledge Shifting Select a group of men and shift them with a number from 1-9. This will allow you to quick select them with that number in battle. Quick Repair Clicking shift and r allows you to quick repair emplacements or vehicles. Resupply Rationing You can click the disable auto supply option in order to ration the supplies from supply trucks (or boxes). Running You can run depending on the amount of left clicks. Two clicks for running. One click for walking. Walking allows you to shoot back easier meanwhile running does not. Running also uses up stamina while walking doesn't. Each has its own benefits and downsides. Walking allows your men to move in a organize manner for example along side tanks. Running is good for storm troopers who can close the distance and toss grenades. Each has its own tactics that goes along it as well and walking is sometimes better (Vise Versa). Revive and healing. In single player you can use morphine kits in order to revive someone by right clicking. Medics will carry more bandages and typically carry morphine kits. A rare other healing item is the healing bag which only heals units but can run out. It basically transfers a stored number of health units to the soldier. Tactics (Mutiplayer) Stormtroops A group of men willing to sacrifice their lives for the men behind them. These men must be equipped well with grenades of all types especially regular grenades. - The storm troop must have covered fire unless a surprise attack is to occur or an ambush. The storm troop must have a backline to protect his flanks. - Never should the storm troop attack without reinforcements or enemy reinforcements coming in. Armored vehicles are the greatest threat to a storm troop! - The storm troop will throw a smoke grenade to cover his advance to cover. Never throw a grenade towards the cover because your men will not be able to shoot from the cover. Note that smoke grenades will not allow your troops to shoot or throw grenades properly. Smoke should then be used on the open ground only (or to cover the fallen for medics). - The storm troop's objective is to kill as many enemies on the defense and never stop moving unless to wait for reinforcements. The storm troop will disable or destroy the enemy emplacements and use supplies from the enemy which will allow the storm troop to keep pushing. - Storm troops in urban combat should be equipped with either anti-tank grenades, rockets launchers, or flame throwers in order to flush our targets from houses. - Storm troops will not care about the loss of ammo as they are instead focused on gaining ground and killing the enemy. - Storm troops are not scouts! They should be moved after an area is scouted so they don't run into an ambush. Trench lines for example should be attacked by storm troops after an officer, sniper, or scout has surveyed the area. - Storm troops do best attacking a weakened enemy position. Lay down fire from arterially support and move from cover to cover - Storm troops should always have an automatic weapon and even better a machine gun! Scout - The scout is either a sniper, an actual elite scouting unit, a veteran, or an officer in a rare case. These units can see far from the fog of war allows you to see enemy positions better. - The hidden scout should be prone in a building or a bush in order to conceal itself. They should not fire at all and avoid contact. - The active scout should hop from cover to cover in order to see enemy positions. The officer should be in the back with binoculars and a car ready to evacuate him. - The expendabros should be sent in if one cannot have access to these units in order to test the enemy strength. - Scouts should be used only for scouting purposes. They should not be laying mines in the enemy lines or shooting at enemy supply trucks. If you want them to keep their lives they should stay hidden the entire game. If there is a supreme target that needs to be destroyed it is better to sneak other veteran units than to waste a hidden scout. It is better that you have a scout than not having a scout. Panzer grenadier - The Panzer grenadier should be grouped with the tank in order to protect it from anti-tank guns, grenades, rocket launchers, etc. They do not need to hug the tank but should stay close by. - The Panzer grenadier should always have an armored vehicle and can quickly switch from attack to defense. - The Panzer grenadier should coordinate with storm troops on the ground and use their panzer groups in an attempt to break through the lines. - Panzer grenadiers usually come with anti-tank weapons which means they also have the added role of pressuring enemy tanks. Destroying enemy tanks before they can destroy yours is crucial because a tank is a firing platform, not an invincible bunker. - A Tank is better protected by men who can keep an eye open than a tank that has only an officer! Mobile support doctrine - Self-propelled guns may not always be available. This is why your regular heavy guns need a truck in order to move it. - The front is always moving that is why you need to keep up with your artillery fire. Always have a supply truck next to your guns. - Telling your guns to attack an area allows you to deny the enemy of a position. It is better than telling your gun to attack a target especially when there is more than one target. - Having an extra 2 support crew is crucial if the enemy is breaking through your lines. Ambushes can be easily stopped by a machine gunner or an extra hand. Group these men with your gun when you move them. The Reserves - Having men in the backlines allows you to give covering fire, retreat, and prevent enemies from sneaking through your lines. - Extra men should be placed in cover always. They should never be standing around or heavily grouped up. - Men should be spread out in case of enemy counterattack, spies, or artillery fire. - Men should always be ready to become frontline troops of any job at a moment's notice so they should be equipped with at leach the bare minimum. Recruits are not good reserves. The Shock troops - Shock troops should be equipped based on the number of numbers they have. Their experience does not matter but having some veterans lead is better than having all recruits. - Shock troops are usually used for multiple human wave attacks and unlike shock troops, they are usually thrown in as soon as possible. - Shock troops can be put to free roam and are there to shore up numbers. They can be equipped with anti-tank but they are mostly there to absorb bullets for your storm troops. - A massive group of recruits can be used to overwhelm the enemy with the sheer weight of numbers and then hold the line until regulars could come and hold. - Depending on the commander you are it may be preferred to use storm troops or shock troops. Note that shock troops are more expendable compared to storm troops. Storm troops also are worse in wide front engagements compared to shock troops which are mean to cover the whole battlefield. The Regulars - The Regulars should be the ones holding the frontline and providing constant fire with the enemy. They are in charge of bracing the artillery fire and must be there in any battle! - The Regulars can be made up of other troops but it is preferred to have veteran machine gun crews and regular soldiers. - Regulars should always have an anti-tank weapon with them. Be it a rocket launcher, or an anti-tank gun of any kind. Be aware that an active frontline might require a mobile anti-tank team compared to a static one. Regulars should always have a machine gun to hold the lines. - Make sure the frontline troops are supplies and have artillery support! Knowledge for singleplayer and coop?

The Americans "HELL YEAH!" Fire superiority complex - As the Americans, you want to focus on having as much support guns as possible and having the most mobile frontline. You have many units that can help you wipe out entire frontlines with pure shelling and rocket fire. The enemy must lose more units than your losses in order for your faction to win. - Your assault troops have semi-autos! American storm troops are better than most of their other counterparts if used correctly. Remember to either shoot at them from cover or rush them in a mob attack! - American tanks are decent but focus on long-range tanks. Having more tanks is usually better than having one Pershing. Plus the Pershing kinda sucks compared to the Jumbo. - You want to hose down the enemy with sheer firepower which often means manpower. Do not be afraid to launch shock attacks but do so with more well-equipped assault troops than regulars. Americans on the attack The Germans "Ja das ist gut..." The Panzer complex - Tank destroyers and heavy tanks are the best sort of armor for the german factions. These should be paired with panzer grenadiers to protect them. Panzer groups should also be formed in order to cover each other. The important thing about the german faction is to cover each other with specialized units. - Use veteran troops in order to shore up the front. Groups of elite marksmen or elite machine gunners can hold off hordes until more units can arrive. - Storm troops are more of a german doctrine than shock troops and you should make sure casualties are at the minimum. - Germany has access to panzerfaust which is a great anti-tank weapon! Use panzerfaust squads for the defense and better yet on the attack! - Keep the momentum on the enemy! The German faction is much weaker on the defense than on the offensive. Make sure your front is mobile and ready to counterattack as soon as possible. Since your more expensive units are better be sure to plan your attacks carefully. - The German Faction requires more planning when attacking and defending. Disorganization will lead to the front being overrun! A hard-fought german attack Germans defending a city Germans defending outskirts of a city The English "Wankers..." The Commando complex - As the English faction you must fight your battles in terms of a strategic target to a strategic target. This means instead of focusing on the objective of the game mode you need to focus on the control of the map itself. - The English has a varied amount of units that can be both used for attack and defense! Most importantly they can attack an area and hold it until relief comes. - Having a frontline is very important to hold onto the high ground and making sure your commandos are safely relieved. Remember to have heavy guns to cover each assualt. - Note that that English assault squad leader has a grenade launcher instead of a rifle/SMG. This is a rubbish weapon. Give him a real gun as soon as possible. - Remember that the English can be on the defense as easily as it can go on the attack! The flexibility of your units can be challenging to understand at first but never spam. - Land control is key and remember to hold onto those important hills or villages. Commandos holding a strategic point The British first attempt to capture the city British success after a second time The Russian "URAAAA!!!" The Horde Complex - The Russian faction is the easiest to understand but hardest to master. This faction requires a slow buildup which is a vulnerable state to be in at first. - Strangely enough, the Russian faction should be on the defense when you first start out. Unlike other factions, your grenades and Molotov's are not as reliable or plentiful as the other factions. However, you do have numbers that can cover the frontline making it hard for the enemy to push. - The motherland has numbers! Make sure to remind the enemy of that with each increasing horde attack until their lines are broken. Remember that shock troops are much better for the Russian Faction than storm troops. - Constant counterattacks of any kind are recommended especially in the beginning. Make the enemy believe that you have an endless stream of units meanwhile you do not. - More objectives and land is better than having less! The Russian faction after building up can snowball with massive deep battle attacks. Keep the enemy focus on massive fronts with T-34 spam and Katusha rockets! - Your ura charges should cover the front with constant pushes. The enemy will be forced to spend their resources on powerful human waves that can allow for a spearhead of stronger tank units. A Russian defense Russian first attempt on attack The Russian second try on attacking The Japanese "A cutting blow!" The Samuari and The Ninga Complex - The Japanese faction is about being sneaky and cheeky at all times. Remember to pounce at every opportunity you have to sneak behind enemy lines. Your main focus is to kill valuable units from the enemy and get closer to your objectives long game. - MINES (Anti-tank). You must mine every inch of the land in order to prevent attacks on your vulnerable lines. The Japanese are often equipped with extra anti-personnel mines which can be used to stop enemy attacks. This is much better for larger maps without much cover to be in. - You cannot rely on armor or anti-tank for the Japanese. Rely on having numbers rather than having one decent heavy tank. Have a lot of rocket launchers, anti-tank rifle grenades, suicide bombers, etc. - You must have a defense where you split the enemy up and lore them deep into your jungle of defenses. The Japanese rely on overlapping defensive lines of fire. Do not rely on just one sandbag line because you risk a powerful artillery barrage. - YOU MUST have a counter artillery doctrine in hand. Artillery and tanks will be your worse nightmare. Remember to keep the enemy split up and not grouped up. A panzer group can really destroy your lines. - Sneaking behind the enemy lines with snipers and banzai troops will help distract the enemy. Time is not on your side and unlike the Russians who can build up numbers, you must rely on a swift victory. Aggressive banzai attacks are devastating ambushes are your key to success. - Remember. Anything is honorable in the eyes of the Japanese faction. Use flamethrowers in ambushes. Mines on the defenses. Rocket emplacements for enemy tanks. Anything to win the battle in one swift blow. Japanese on the defense/ambush Successful Banzai charge The battlefield is always different and changing so make sure to take tactics from other factions. Just because you are the Japanese doesn't mean you have to banzai charge all the time. Different tactics work better in different scenarios. Some good ideas

10 General good ideas 1) Hide emplacements in buildings and behind cover. 2) Hide tanks behind cover always! A tank in the open is very vulnerable. 3) If a building is on fire GET THE MEN OUT OF WINDOW POSITIONS! Make sure they are on the ground floor prone as close as possible to the ground. 4) Smash a tank into a building for an added protection but be careful about doing that because it might not be the best thing to do at the time. (Watch out for rubble and the fact that other tanks can still shoot you.) 5) Fire heavy guns at tanks to scare off any panzer grenadiers. Light tanks, open-top tanks, and other lighter vehicles can be slowed down in their advance with repairs. Artillery can separate groups of tanks allowing for easy pickings. Artillery also forces the enemy to move from cover, advance to a trap, or retreat. 6) Hide behind grass if you can with anything. Being in the open is a generally bad idea. 7) Make sure that your units are quickly selected during an engagement. (Using Shift 1-9) 8) Your men can still shoot from the bottom windows of buildings. Men actually shoot better if they are positioned not a window but still able to fire out from one. This is because they can shoot anyone running into the building. Having a machine gunner prone in the doorway can be a great use of a bunker. Houses in men of war are like customizable bunkers so be sure to add sandbags and all sorts of defenses. 9) Be cheeky! Put mines around sandbag lines to blow up enemy soldiers who are trying to find some cover. 10) Remember your ranges when manual controlling. Red means you are out of range. The wider the circle of fire is the more inaccurate your shot is. Remember that armor penetration also decreases with distance so remember that you should always go for Green shots instead of yellow or red shots. Somewhat less useful tips - Hiding in crater holes is a good way to sneak scouts or integrated them into your defenses. - Have some men ahead of the main defense to alert yourself of the enemy in case your scouts didn't catch them. Early warning signs give you valuable time and make the enemy believe that your defenses are much more covered than they have thought. Elite men and machine gunners can weaken an enemy attack before they even reach your mainline. However lone duos of soldiers should retreat when spotting a very large enemy force instead of wasting lives. - Hold right-click on the ground to make your units face a certain area. You can use this in order to command a tank to speed through enemy lines and then turn to shoot. - Spread out your men and try not to clump up. Always return fire! - In Coop make sure your men are well looted up. Break into squads of elite stormtroopers before reforming into the main attack force. - Keep an eye out on the minimap! The minimap is your biggest friend! - Change the battlefield to suit you! Explosives can be used to create holes, craters, etc. Be creative and take advantage of the map. Be cheeky and use the borders of the map to your advantage! The worst thing is having the enemy use the map better than you! - Cross waters and attack the enemy's flanks at unexpected points. Sometimes the map will feature terrain that looks impossible to attack until proven otherwise. - Sandbag lines should be avoided and instead split into groups of lines. Individual sandbags from a rifleman or machinegunner can cover a battlefield much better and avoided artillery fire from destroying your defenses. - Always keep a lookout for repairable vehicles or emplacements to use! - Remember that your half-track comes with more grenades, dynamite, bandages, anti-tank grenades, smoke grenades, and machine gun ammo! Bring them into battle with you instead of leaving it to destruction. - If you're running low on manpower and need to man vehicles then there are some general rules. For tank destroyers, you need 3 men to keep it battlefield operational. This is because a tank destroyer cannot turn without a driver and aim (which also means you need a loader and gunner). For any other turreted vehicle, you mostly need just 2 men. - Cars can absorb a lot of bullets.... a lot more than shock troops - For human wave charges be sure to spread your men out! This can be done by click K once to dismiss the squad while they are on free roam to cause them to split apart and take cover without you commanding them to! - Panzers works better in a group. - Hetzers are overpowered. Spam Hetzers. Remember your training soldier and we might just make it through this campaign. Men of war keys

You can add extra information sources in the comments or something. The steam workshop is also a fantastic place to make men of war a more enjoyable experince. I highly recommend Robz realism and Valour. Somewhat New Information Updated Tips for Players Hedgehog tank cover has been fixed rip. Prone in Bushes - You can access more cover in men of war by telling your units to prone, and then look for the white silhouette for cover in bushes. *Foxholes, craters, bushes, and even the side of hills are now accessible. (I think your units aim improves when in this cover as well compared to just being prone in the open.) * Telling your units to prone and then advancing is the most safest way to attack but its really slow. It's a good way to get through no mans land and throw smoke for a follow up attack. Officers in the spawn - Officers decrease the amount of CP that accumulates in battle allowing you to out-spam your enemies in the later game. Even through they could spot enemies, they can't defend themselves. Give the spotting job to a sniper or exchange the binoculars. The best thing to do is just have a foxhole in spawn and keep all your officers in a cozy cabin. *Don't forget their golden smoke grenades for ammo and building material! Indirect Fire - In Robz many units have indirect fire (not just the emplacements). For example, rocket launcher troops can be turned into a spam fire unit through these simple methods. 1) Buy a supply truck to give them enough rockets. 2) Get at least 2 rocket launcher guys. Get the extra man out of the truck. 3) Have the rocket launcher guys prone down for full elevation when firing the rocket. 4) Have them aim the rocket at the standing support crew that is ahead of them. * Best when on a hill. If there's no support crew than you can use a tree or high hill but its much harder. 5) Watch as the rocket slowly descends into the enemy spawn killing units with the cost of just a few mp. *Prone for high elevation. Crouch for medium. Standing for low elevation. Adjust the Area of Fire by moving the rocket troops around. *Usually requires a team to buy time for this rocket saturation. - Any unit that fires a projectile that flies and lands far (basically everything except the piat) can be used. For example, a T-34-76 can be told to fire at a building and it will continue to fire at the area even through the building may be destroyed. What this causes is for the T-34 to become a self-propelled gun as the HE lands into the enemy spawn. - Indirect fire also out ranges all arty guns in both range and cost. - You can even do this with machine guns by telling them to fire at a uphill angle causing the bullets to fly into the enemies rear. There is very few counters other than to do it yourself. *A motorcycle is very good to do this task if equipped with a supply truck for ammo. Other tips and tricks - How to make a mechanized regular squad? Simple summon a half track and loot the inside of it for grenades. Now with the partisans/volksturm/conscript/milita/etc you can duel with even elite unites. * Now keep doing that until the enemy gets mad and summons a tank. - Demine with dynamite and stop running into the mines! Use the grenades not the infantry in mined areas. In multiplayer with other players stop attacking the same area that is mined! You can't mine sweep during a match so it's useless! -Fight on the reverse slope not the top of the hill !In men of war units have poor elevation despite the ability to hull down even if they could. (This is unless the hill has fortifications that allow them to fire down easily.) Most units prone when they get shot at without cover making for the units on the top of the hill the least advantage ironically. The only ability is for them to hurl indirect fire, and grenades but you can avoid this by not hugging that close. * The British is insane with this as they have the piat which can deter basically any tank attacks that are not in a group. - When fighting in assault zones or combat the best thing to do is just saturate the enemies area in fire if you don't know where they area by telling your machine gunners to fire at a tree. This can clear out anybody not in cover without much lost. - WP the trees, Burn the enemy's nature and fauna. Fire stuns the enemy so they can't move even if they don't die. It also acts like a artificial smoke grenade. Ending It was quite fun making this guide and hopefully, for you, it was a fun read as well. The videos somewhat demonstrate the example mentioned but it's better to test it out yourself in battle. This guide might be updated to replace new bugs, old bugs, and add more useless useful information. Leave a thumbs up if you like blocking friendlies with sandbags. Thank you for reading this somewhat useful information!
