Easy tips for starting out to save you time and hassle
Easy Tips
As you progress, think about…
Health does not regenerate, so…avoid running into enemies when rushing up to farm
Snag those red health potions to heal
Don’t stand still
Stay in corners
Use walls to ricochet balls for more damage/hits
Each bounce multiplies damage output, so aim at walls more than enemies to create those bounces…especially in narrow gaps that get balls bouncing super fast
Catching balls instantly shoots them back out. Balls bouncing back to you take 2-3 seconds to shoot back out. That’s 60-90 seconds over a 10 minute run.
Turning off damage numbers to better see enemy’s attack intentions. Go to Settings -> Display -> “Damage Numbers” to OFF.
Enemies give 0.5 to 1 second telegraphs of attack intentions
Toggling speed control when new enemies appear or when farming.
Smart Leveling
Kill enemies, then farm crystals
5 missed crystals x 20 waves = 100 lost XP, or 2-3 missed level upgrades
Collect enough crystals to level up before grabbing a rainbow upgrade orbs
Fission upgrade options are triggered in the upgrade orbs when you don’t have balls up to Level 3 yet
Wait until Level 3 to pick up evolution orbs for the chance at the best upgrade options
Evolutions
Get balls upgraded to Level 3 before
Evolutions are better than fusions
Evolutions create new balls; fusions combine existing balls
Focus on 2-3 ball types at start of your run and ignore other ball upgrades
Max those 2-3 balls in levels than combine
Good Early Ball Combinations
Iron Ball + Fireball = Bomb
Bomb + Poison = Toxic Explosion
Bleed + Brood Mother = Leech
Bleed + Poison = Virus
Bleed + Vampire = Vampire Lord
Burn + Freeze = Frozen Flame
Burn + Earthquake = Magma
Lightning + Freeze/Wind = Blizzard
Lightning + Wind = Storm
Good Passive Combinations
War Horn + Baby Rattle = Cornucopia (ton of extra tiny balls)
Wretched Onion + Breastplate = Odiferous Shell (50% chance enemies die when touching you)
Everflowing Goblet + Vampiric Sword = Soul Reaver (Each kill heals 1 hit point)
Radiant Feather + Fleet Feet = Balls move 40% faster and you move 20% faster

Know wave speeds:
Waves 1-10 = Fast
Waves 10-15 = Normal
Waves Boss = Slow

I Just Started...Help!!
Choose the Warrior.
Why?
He evolves balls 30% to 50% faster than other characters.
Forgiving builds and fast progression.
Works well with all evolution paths and is consistent.
Easy Warrior ball evolutions to get good and feel good doing it:
Bomb = Burn + Iron...gives you a 2x damage multiplier and huge AoE advantage
Magma = Burn + Earthquake...gives you 1.8x damage plus lingering ground effects
Sandstorm = Earthquake + Wind...gives you 1.6x damage plus slows enemies with persistent damage zones
Blizzard = Freeze + Lightning...gives you 1.7x damage with radius freeze and chain damage, which really helps with late stage crowded screens
With this approach to the early-game, you'll level up quickly.
Also, if you get some bad ball choices just use the fusion option to combine them and make room for the more powerful evolutions.
Don't be afraid to fuse two evolutions when you want to try new things.
Best of luck to you!!
